• now i can still dig this song and say every time i hear it i shake my ass!

  • All hail the Tonies! Though the track doesn't owe all of it's brilliance to the group. Dj Quick deserves credit for co-producing and rapping on the song, as does G-One for his producing. If you enjoy this track you should listen to "Home Alone" By R. Kelly & Keith Murray. It was also produced by G-One and thus has a similar beat.

    Benni

  • this is some real shitt. 90's were the shizz

  • This is real R&B music, not like that crap being produced in todays music scene. Ahh, I really miss the 90's.

    It's tha shit.

  • haha I forgot about this video and that beginning part

  • Aww shyt! dis my jam!!

  • hell yeah

  • wat is da song at da beggining of da video?

  • Actually, regarding the Nirvana, I'm speaking as a musician who PLAYED this song back in the day, and, yeah, The Tonyies basicallY LIFTED the chords and elements of the melody "Teen Spirit" to do the song. It's not a secret...and I'm speaking as a FUNKATEER (listening for 33 years, playing for 24). Essentially, it's the same song with a few minor changes and different words.

  • Hey Youre Wright! Cause Now That I Pay Attention To The Chords In The Intro, Its Sounds Very similiar. At First I Thought That The Chorus Sounded Alike. But Youre Wright ABout The CHORDS Too.

  • This was my song...so many memories. Quik did look good.

  • Actually Go Deep by Janet Jackson always sounded like this song to me...

  • youre right i thought of this song when i heard that janet song

  • yeah teh first thing i noticed about the song is how much it reminded me of nirvana lo. but its still a dope tune!

  • This was my jam right here. 03:28-03:50 is my favorite part and Quik was hot back then.

  • Out in Sac this song didn't get nearly enough play. it should have been on the radio all the time!

  • Tony! Toni! Tone! rox. I've always liked them.

  • freakin calssic shyyt right here

  • does it matter? abc song and twinkle twinkle little song is the same shit

  • damm, when the radio was still halfway good, this used to get some good airplay

  • Everybody Go Listen To Nirvana-"Smells Like Teen SpiriT" After this. Listen To The Hook (Chorus)

  • why????

  • Lacy, If You Cant Hear The Similarity, Then I Cant Help You. LoL

  • yeah, i heard it too

  • CLASSIC

  • quik's beat and verse MADE this song! Classic summer jam

  • Excentric ™

  • ..damn this shit is bad..!

  • havent seen or heard this song in a minute

  • yeah that guy is right, I love this song, but the vocal melody during the chorus is the exact same as the pre-chorus melody in Teen Spirit. "let's get down, let's get down' let's get down' let's get down" and then "hello hello hello hello" they are the same melody.

  • this my jam!

  • dj quik is da shitt..ya heard!!!

  • good old times

  • I like this song, but they stole the hook from Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit.

  • How do you get smells like teen spirit from that? clean out your ears.

  • No you need to listen to both. I have heard people say these songs sound alike before.

  • I've heard both, I am a fan of both and I have both, they sound nothing alike. :)

  • Dude. In This Song Discography Quik Actually Gives Sampling Credit To Kurt Cobain & Nirvana For The Chords And The Chorus.

  • thats wut makes it good

  • takes me way back! luv it!

  • OMG this is my fav song ever
