Looking good! I looked at a dog organization for my now grown up son a couple years back. But oh my god they wanted hundreds and hundreds of dollars. My son actually had a "service ferret" for years. I don't know what we would have done without him or everyones understanding and welcoming him (including the school). The ferret somehow prevented my son from wandering and bolting away, completely prevented anxiety attacks and meltdowns, and stimulated him to talking to people big time.
@wolfysluv Forgot to say his ferret wasn't "trained to do a task", therefore technically not a "service" animal by definition. But he "naturally did the task" of completely preventing any panic attacks and meltdowns so my son could go out into public as much as he could. I have no idea how, but he specifically got Sean to talk to others as well. No other animal did this for him.
