  • This siren kinda sounds like the old head at Ryder Park.

  • Tbolts have such amazing sound, it's sad to hear one like this.

  • It could actually be the bearings causing it to drop in pitch like that. once the pitch drops, it never recovers. It winds down a little fast, too.

  • Thanks for the video! The sound of this siren actually pleases my mind, somehow soothing with the right kind of distortion and pitch.

  • wow! poor thunderbolt :( this was also installed in '87 right?

  • @amtrak3501 I believe so. The ID tag says "R87" so I guess that means it was installed in 1987. The weird thing is this is the only T-bolt in Redford that says 3 Phase on the tag. All the others say 1 Phase.

  • Wow that is getting bad. Nice video anyways

  • i actually kinda like tht sound

  • The abrupt pitch drop makes it seem like a case of dirty collector rings

  • that siren's seen better days!

  • Wow theyre replacing it just in time it seems. Do you know when that will happen?

  • @carexpertandy It should be this year. I been contacting Jeff at WSS if he knows yet when they will take down JC Park's 1000 cause I wanna take a video of it being uninstalled. He doesn't know yet.

  • @Siren1000T1 In el1998p71's video of this siren. The pitch seemed to drop.

  • Seems like the lower pitched 1000Ts crap out earlier. Nice video anyways.
