  • Amazing performance of czardas, you sound amazing, but you should consider doing this on a small bore, it's what lindberg used at the time and the smallbore sound sounds alot better than large bore because the large bore is more diffuse and darker which in my feel ruins the solistic feel. Overall GREAT PERFORMANCE.

  • @psgchisolm I don't think dark ruins the soloistic feel. I mean, euphoniums are extremely dark and are fine solo instruments. There's no reason, I think, as to why trombones can't be dark.

  • is beaultiful this mens and womans

  • This sounds really good. One thing I did when I transrcibed the solo was put it in Cminor/major instead of the original D. I found the slide positions a lot more comfortable and the range was nicer. I know it's not "authentic" but you might want to investigate that (if you haven't already) to make it sound even more awesome.

  • what a beautiful melting tone

  • You sound great and the band sounds great. I'm trying to get as much info on the different fleet bands as I can and Pacific will definitely be put in the 'good' column.

  • you are good trombonist but why you don't try to play something what you can play? Lindberg is only one in the world!

  • no, hes not!!! Nils landgren???..

    Jos Jansen ??;)

Christian is not even best with this number ;)... you defenitly did not search enough ;)

  • This was amazing! Nearly the best sound I ever herd, extremly well played. You could keep the lovely sound even in the most difficult parts, and you made it sound so easy! I'm very impressed!

  • great job. i can't wait 'til i enlist.

  • Could someone post more video of the back of thay guys head? Makes me all tingly.

  • Hey man - Slackers here!, nice work for a classical player ;) I hear some of you guys are coming out to Sydney later in the year. Looking forward to it. How good are trombone players! Hit Daniel for me say hi to the boys from me.

  • hey man! hows it going, we spoke quite a few months back. im the guy who started his gigging in the army. where are you now and whats going on with your playing?

  • you have an awesome sound. great job!!!

  • muy bueno

  • i personally would like to say job well done man. im about to start my solo career in the army. i ship out monday man. i really think that youre sound must be extremely warm and rich in person bc of how well it comes across on here. great play man

  • Good Job Terrence!

You have a great sound and alot to work with. Don't worry about range problems that other people are talking about, all of that comes with time and diligent practice. Keep up great work!

    -NisbetAM

  • wow. you kept a good tempo....nice

  • good...

  • great sound....dont listen to any of those other jerks....this sounds so good...everyone needs to practice...no one has it like that.....keep up the good work....who did you study with

  • Great performance!

    Keep the good working...

  • its a 6 out of ten for me. the clarinet is better than the trombone though! you're the soloist, make your part stand up. but it's a rehearsal anyway. more practice.

  • fuckin' crap band & trombone player.u need practise man:d

  • and i suppose you are the worlds greatest trombonist ??

    v. good.. i really enjoyed it ..

    x

  • hey I don't see any videos of YOU playing this fonkey.

  • Very very good!! I can see why you have skipped out the parts you did, and still you put on a very good and entertaining performance! Well Done! Just push a bit harder and get the rest of it under your belt! Matt Denney

  • This was a sad sloppy rendition of the czardas. More accurate articulations are greatly needed. Also if you going to play a solo dont skip parts. You needed more practice on this

  • is i just me, or s the fist bar or two of the fast part of the melody skipped? the high D part i think if its in the right key

  • I'm looking and listening to the March, 2007 concert on your web site. Excellent job!

  • Nice bald head in front of you...

  • jaka rama! ten koleś jest niezły :D fajne wykonanie czardasza nie ma co :D

  • you were great in concert man! although I must say that the trumpet section was quite amazing also.

  • This is a beautiful composition!

Practice does not make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect. What you do in practice will determine what you do in the arena.

Best Always, I would like to hear the final cut one day. Salute!

  • Your dynamics can be emphasized more! Don't be sucked in by the orchestra. You're the soloist! Really show off what you got. You have a nice tone...could use more vibrato or energy...and you play well in tune. Also play a little more legato. Good job tho

  • I first heard Czardas on that CD, and transcribed it as best I could - then arranged the full band version from my transcription. I hope I do it justice. I try. I've already realized I'll never be Christian Lindberg, but it's fun to try and pretend ;-P

  • hey all, thanks so much for your thoughts and comments. Lindberg was of course my inspiration, and if you listen, I'm trying pretty hard to immitate as much of what he does as I am able to. (listen to the Czardas on his 'the virtuoso trombone' CD - it'll make you mad, lol).

  • The world needs more plumbers...maybe you should consider giving up music.

  • That was like straight playing you need to play from the heart! Anyways i've been looking for this solo everywhere, where can I get it?

  • Not too bad, work on articulations, they are quite fuzzy. You have a very soloistic sound, not very fitted for an orchestra, but warm and sweet.

  • Do you have any vids of you playing? I would really like to hear you play. If you're as good as this guy it would be a pleasure to listen to.

  • Not currently, but will come eventually. I'm a much younger player than said person in video, but have a good idea of what needs work.

  • This guy is only 26. Regardless I look forward to seeing it. You don't even have to wait I'm sure you'd be a lot better than some of the crap people stick on youtube lol.

  • Yay, Awesome!

  • I love the sound of that trombone..

  • no Lindberg hey? I have to say that you're damn close. Nice job, this isn't an easy piece. Beautiful sound

  • Damn close to Lindberg is a little exaggerated, but it's still a remarquable prestation. Remember that this is a repitition, not a concert!

  • Well I personally thing that Lindberg is the best in the world. This guy is still fantastic. FYI the actual performance is on youtube, just incase you hadn't seen it yet.

  • Very nice trombone playing.
