I was told it was the largest anvil ever shipped to date in the late 1800's (US) with a special provision for the weight. and my family still has the original documents to prove ownwership, even older than the liberty bell

I have a family historic anvil that was the largest ever shipped (to date) in the U.S. and it was under 300 lbs
