... Shows go off the air. Dexter's lab started to suck about half way through all of it's episodes.

As much as I miss shows, Im glad that they take some shows off the air, it keeps them from turning boring and stupid. Such as the Simpsons and Family Guy as the main examples.

Canceling a show helps keep the show in memory, since there should be no point in where the show went downhill, as does any long running show of any kind.
