Seriously, the romance in this version is so much better, more romantic and there are actual kisses! unlike the Korean version where the kisses are so pathetic and the romantic story is not always believable.

I like this version. And I was really excited to see foreigners portrayed in a markedly more positive light than I saw when I was living in Japan. But that comment of "how low class do you think I am to sleep with a foreigner" is incredibly offensive. Here I had my hopes up for more cultural understanding and acceptance of love across borders. I can only wish that was just a poorly worded translation and not in the actual script.

@k0nek0 Actually, the translation should've been with THAT foreigner instead of A foreigner, which makes a big difference in context, since she's basically saying she wouldn't sleep with just anyone. Hopefully that clarified things and restored your hopes! :)

@hibubbleswingyan definitely this Taiwanese adaptation of the japanese manga hana yori dango made a huge impact all over Asia. It was the trailblazer for asian telenovelas. I was hooked with this drama 10 years back when it aired in Philippines and after all these years, this remains one of my favorites besides Mars. Agree with you, i actually watched all the 3 versions and this one i liked best.
