  • Lol, yesterday I read something about Nerue being a endorser of Saluda, next day randomly find one of his videos around :P

  • I don't think that the people disliking this and commenting "What is anatomical about this drum solo?" realize that he's doing a stripped-down version of Neil Peart's solo off of Rush Live in 2004 with whatever resources he has, and and he's doing a damn good job at it for that matter.

  • roswell, grey's anatomy

  • jesus christ i love all u fags w nuttin better to do than sit online n talk about tacos dick size and the meaning of anatomy. pathetic.if n e of u actually play instruments spend half the amount of time u do online behind ur instrument and u might actually accomplish something.

  • what is that bass pedal under the snare for

  • @joak1too /facepalm

  • keep practicin kid, you've got motivation on your side!!

  • @TheAftermathWorld Just so you know its portuguese.......

  • Nothing special. Sorry dude.

  • @pianoguru14 there is rhythm in every type of douchebag. Your mother told me she wants tp suck your dick.

  • @pianoguru14 I think you are arguing with yourself, I think. I think we actually are agreeing but you havent noticed. Anyway, yes, a motive is the basis of any musical perception and actually expands into other motives that are subservient to the initial motive. unless lets say a key change is made, or an abrupt stop in sound takes place, even then, the original motive exists. A sound gives an impression. Lets say the sound of traffic on the street. Well, a motive can take us to an air balloon.

  • sucks

  • around 2:20 he gets all off tempo acting like a banshee. his rhythms are more intricate then anyones ive ever heard. but if you cant keep them in time, its just noise.

  • @TrainWreck901 I love that shit. Regular music gets predictable because it follows a set path, but it you listen with an attentive ear, this stuff is complicated and beautiful.

  • @pianoguru14 Hold on here buddy. You got it going on, but let's step back for a moment. There is a balance between what one understands in there mind as a motif and what they feel that motif may be. As a humanistic feel, the musician uses a motif to create music. In theory, the smallest part of analogical music is a motif, but man, there is a shit load of balance between that simple logical understanding of motif and the growth that perspective gives to a song writer. Niel understands this. Roll

  • @pianoguru14 I like the idea of understanding motif's, if there is any teaching going on in what ever where about's, so i guess i agree with you, music is the perception of sound, some drummers are just rhythm machines, rhythm is not music, some drummers are musicians that make music, if any of this makes any sense to you? and i think you are indeed aware, i hope

  • anatomy of nothing

  • what kit is that, not the dw one

  • Awesome!

  • You mean epitome?

  • creo que hay que ser un poco mas original, y no copiar tanto el estilo de otros bateristas

  • @PolloXdeth no jodas!

  • just getting the waltz down is a testament to your skill, nicely done!

  • You're good. In fact, you're damned good! ow you've go the mechanics down. that's the heart of the music.

Now start writing your own stuff. Write your own patterns, and rolls. Then you give the music soul!

Then find like minded musicians, and put it together to make a band!

Don't sweat the changes, because there's going to be some! Roll with the flow, and let it be what it is. JUST KEEP IT UP! DON'T QUIT!

  • saludahead, your an idiot. me too but at least im a musician

  • I think the gigging for 20 years does, but what the hell does smoking pot and nailing booze and tacos have to do with making you a musician?

lol, it was just a funny comment.

  • so saludahead, does smoking pot and being a drunk make you a musician? You need to grow up if you are truly 52. I think you are an idiot myself

  • ehh man you see hendrix??

  • you eed to ask for your money back if you think that makes you a musician

  • LOL!!

  • and if you look above at saludahead you will see whats wrong with our country no not the musican part the "i lived on pot, and beer for 20 years" hmm 52 ehh you must be a role model to your grandkids, assuming you know them, with your very childish schedule as a " musican" you must be so proud......

  • 70% of the world lives on pot and beer.

neil feels the music w/o theatrical facial exp, etc. you ever seen rod morgenstein? he's cool- he is the most enthusiastic facial expressionistic drummer ive ever seen!

it is fun to watch him jam

  • How about Nicko McBrain? You know in terms of facial expression.

  • Definitely

  • nice job with the marimba part translated to toms

  • some people say how neil peart doesnt like doin his job and gets tired of it because of the way his face lloks when he plays./....i think it means hes more focused to make it sound good...he is awesome

  • pretty similar to neil's solo

    good job ;)

  • danget i didnt have enough time to click that pop up

  • i kno, but it takes alot of practice, im in marching band =/ and i play the tenors, thats all hes really doing, you just have to practice alot

  • It is a lot different playing with two limbs than it is with four

  • well said..
