Jake McNiece is my husband's great uncle. He's an amazing guy, as were all of the Filthy 13, I'm sure. Who knows how things would have turned out w/o them.
I'm Jack Agnew's granddaughter. I never have had the chance to met Jake. I've heard so many great stories about Jake. He could not attend my grandfather furneral this past Tuesday. He was buried on April "13" 2010. John "Jack" Agnew January 2, 1922- April 8th 2010. Thanks to all the filthy thirteen members. He was so proud when I made my jump. Miss you grandpop.
I met you in Normady in a small restaurant with my dad! I really enjoyed being able to look back and see some of the miraculous things u survived through!
I was also at Brevands. I will have pics on my site, soon. Do a search: Top Secret-Bigot. Brevands is on my D-Day Mapsheet of Isigny. It shows the canals and a portion of Carentan.
i recently attended the ceremony in Brevands dedicated to the filthy 13 for their actions in kit and warpaint.Great memorial and a must see for all! All the greatest admiration to Jake and Jack.

It's been my distinct pleasure to have met and gotten to know Jake and his wife. He
and the rest of his unit made a lasting
contribution during the war. My goal is
to help see that the curent generation
learns and passes that lesson along to
the next one.
