  • Omg I love this video! 110% true!

  • Hell yea!!!!!

  • For the ones who say that barrelracing is lacking horsemanship....come an get on my horses an say that when ur in the dirt. dont bash something you know nithing about. As well as for the on who commented about barrel racers usung huge bits....im able to to run my horse with a peice of twine if i wished to do so. If ur uneducated about the sport keep your comments to yourself. IF YOU CANT SAY ANYTHING NICE DONT SAY ANYTHING AT ALL!!!!

  • Omg so true! <3

  • 3 barrels

     2 hearts 1 dream

    I <3 barrel racing!!!!

  • LOVE THE VIDEO! LOVE HORSES! AND LOVE HORSES!

  • Rider at 1:45 that is some INSANE rein yanking. Overall I am very impressed with the barrel racing sport, but the HORSEMANSHIP required seems sadly lacking. There's guts and strength and symbiosis, but also a whole lotta room for yanking and kicking and whipping and generally bad riding! Not so in working equitation (which I just discovered myself and am left BREATHLESS by!)

  • what's the song name???? I love it!

  • "think again"...ok,my point of veiw is still the same though!

  • Yes also need barrels lol, no barrel racing is not abusive the horses love doing it just as much as we do

  • Barrel racing looks abusive

  • @ArablvrXoXo it's not abusive. horses love doing it.

  • @mordmil10 yeah, they love the constant whip whip, spur spur, kick kick, "FASTER!" "KICK HIM!" turn kick kick whip whip. And the huge bits that are normally in their mouths. They sure have fun

  • @ArablvrXoXo most horses know what to do and give it their all, if they didn't like it those riders would be in the dirt. if you gonna bash us, do it some where else, and stop watching barrel racing videos. if you don't have something nice to say then DON'T SAY ANY THING AT ALL!!!!

  • @mordmil10 if they already know what to do then why force them into such a big bit, flog, and use spurs?

  • @ArablvrXoXo *sigh* forget it. think what you want, im tired of bickering.

  • @ArablvrXoXo its not abusive why do you think barrrel racing horses are built bigger than other horses? they are made for barrel racing so it is fun to them and they can barely feel it cuz there built to where they know that stuff is not mean

  • ur my idol

  • don't you also need barrels???? (sorry im a smart ass XD )

  • Everyone that can ride a horse whether it is barrel racing, jumping, dressage etc. you are still an athlete. It takes a lot of courage, heart, and strength to get on a 1200 pound animal with a mind of its own and do what you love doing which is riding. So you can argue all day long that your not an athlete and BS about it but anyone who will put there life in the line everyday just to ride a horse is an athlete in my eyes and I am a barrel racer it takes alot of sweat, practice and hard work.

  • Great fun to watch a bunch of girls doing what they love & doin it good.

  • i would love to put a person who thinks that barrel racing is easy on my mare and have them go down to those barrels full speed on a mare that has a lot of heart and attitude. love the sport a lot of hard work that pays off at the end :) Great Vid !

  • I barrel raced for 2 years but got bored and switched to english. No offence, but kicking, kicking, kicking, turning, kicking, kicking, turning, kicking,. kicking, kicking, kicking does not mean you can ride.

  • Nicley said in youre video!!!! I hate it when people say its not hard it a bitch thing to do!!! Well i taught someone not to say that i put her on my champion and she fell off befor the first fucvking barrell'1!!!! city peoople that think they know that are talking about so piss me off!!!! get em girl!!!!

  • @RaelynnMcCloud you totally should start, it's incredibly fun!!

  • @TheCowgirlbarrelrace that's great that you're doing barrels, i'm 14 and i finally beat my last time (which was 31 seconds) on sunday. i got 23 seconds :) keep practicing, it works!! haha

  • Def not, this is what I do. Cowgirl for life((:

  • I love the Grace clip. U had a great run! Im just startn so i get a time in da 30s.I love watching others race though!

  • I miss barrel racing! I had a mustang mare and she was so fast! she was short and perfect for turning...i miss her..

  • First time I tried barrel racing at the county fair in 2009, I was showing my horse, I slid off the saddle, but I got right back up again on my other horse, and her and I did it perfectly. I love barrel racing. It's not easy at all. It takes everything you got to make it perfect. I did it during halftime at the rodeo at the county fair this past summer, and I was scared to death. First time I did it in front of at least 1,000 people, and I did it perfectly. I did it in 8 seconds.

  • @farmersdaughter1996 wow thats fast- i only get thirty secs. Im still starting

  • now i am thinking about barrel racing(;

  • ok ive been riding horses ever since i was two and barrel racing ever since i was four, im twelve now and my friends think barrel racing is easy! and its not, last year was the first year i quallified for youth world and they think its all still easy! the fastest time i hadever madewas 16.6 seconds.. ive worked hard for that time! i started making teen scores last year when i was eleven! im just trying to say its not easy to barrel race

  • My horse is a 1 D horse :)

  • If barrelracing was easy, then we'd call it bull riding.

People say all you have to do in barrelracing is hold on.

Isn't that technically, no not technically...it IS what bull riding is!!

  • @lovinmyEZ ive tried bull riding and it isnt much easier than barrel racing I do both and Im 12

  • Watch out if i see u thinkin its easy u can easily find out by doing it yourself i almost fell from the saddle alot

  • i looooooooooovvvvvvvveeeeeeeeee the video and BARREL RACING!

  • I love barrel racing!! my little guy goes so FAST!!!!

  • I love this video I ride a horse on the barrels she isn't the fastest but we both love it!!!!! <3

  • This is so true!! Love it!!!

  • some ppl at school say riding a horse is easy just cuz it looks easy dont mean it is cuz i barrel race and is not easy but im only 12 and i get 1st place in barrel racing and can do way better than people who r older than i am

  • @barrelracer4555 im 12 2 and i dont get good times but i still <3 my horse and the sport

  • Well who ever said that on the bus must have never barrel raced be for. So you can tell him I said suck it.

  • omg i love you ... a person on the bus said barrel racing is gay and easy this so will change his ,mind!!

  • I ride english, but i want to barrel race! The speed looks amazing and being able to turn like that, WOW!!!!!

  • I am a barrel racer and I am only 12 I have been training for 5 years and I still get stuck I mean it's hard but you have to live with it I mean you fall of you get right back up again and I ride english to there both hard jumping too so if you ever try to be a barrel racer you have to have pride and keep up your strength! -horselover

  • barrel racing is one of the hardest rodeo spprts out there!!!!!

  • I don't get why english and western people argue. We all do a equally dangerous and hard sport. We are all amazing and form a special bond with our horse/pony. I believe we should just be proud to be able to be around these magnificent creatures.

  • @dunappolossa if horses knew there power- we should not ride

  • For ppl who think barrel racing is easy or even just riding a horse, think again! I hate it wen ppl say its easy to ride a horse. Thumbs up if you agree

  • @ShowJumper123Jess My friend said horse riding wasn't excersise...all you do it sit there and steer the horse. i was like 0_0

  • @Only1HighlighterLeft omg, i know how u feel

  • @ShowJumper123Jess Do you barrel race? Just wondering, I'm about to start it after riding English for 3 years then Western for 2.

  • @Only1HighlighterLeft ya, i barrel race for the fun of it when I'm not show jumping, how about you?

  • @ShowJumper123Jess I'm about to start. I used to jump but I wanted to do Western (ya know, the whole grass is greener on the other side concept ) when I did English and by chance, I saw a Western Horsemanship camp sign and I started taking lessons at the place and that's how I got into Western! I know the barrel pattern and have run it at a trot a few times but not competitivley, About to star 'training' for it, so to say.

  • @Only1HighlighterLeft cool =) I started at the trot too than cantered on the way bak from the last barrel, than i cantered and cantered back, than I eventually galloped bak =)

  • @ShowJumper123Jess i would like your status more than once but i cant:/!!!!!

  • @daisymonty ya... i h8 it wen ppl say horseback riding is easy, dont u?

  • @ShowJumper123Jess oh my gosh when people say that to me i spaz out! that would be the WORST thing to say to me!

  • @daisymonty me too, i like have a spazz attack, i just wanna stick a person on a galloping horse and make them do a cross country course and jump 1.40 meters!

  • @ShowJumper123Jess oh yeah:) haha i dont do jumping but i would like to and i would love to see some of my freinds doing barrels full speed:)

  • Stupid boring thing. Its just taking the horse and running in circles LOL nth special. Is it done by farm girls?

  • @imaneadds its not as easy as it looks and its not boring, believe me, its one of the top watched rodeo event

  • @imaneadds DDDDDDDDDDUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHH- it is so not stupid! u bond with ur horse and itz NOT boring

  • @TheCowgirlbarrelrace For towel girls, housewives and farmers, it may be not boring but for a girl who knows what really sport is, It is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO boring, tedious and a waste of time. Why would some1 use a strong horse to take rounds lol. It looks so childish to me. what a 14 years old girl would do lol.

  • STOP! im a jumper and i have done barrel racing and its a great rush and it is a SPORT! i PERSONALLY like jumping better i think its harder & found it more of a challenge.. that is my opinion im not saying barrel racing is easy though. it is hard and its funny watching equestrians fight over whos riding style is better. yall are making yourselves look like fools and one more thing someone said jumpers arent cowgirls... id love to see you get on my stallion and jump a 5'4 oxar.. BOTH ARE SPORTS

  • @BowToTheJumpers i agree, i'm a jumper too, barrel racing is still riding a horse... what have people become these days! a western saddle and a english saddle are pretty much the same, but western saddles have a horn and sometimes different stirrup styles. their girths just look different and the saddle is just in a dif. color... but people are still fiting over that! people make such fools out of themselves when they complain over which discipline is better ur still on a horse!

  • @ShowJumper123Jess i know but honestly i think jumping is harder... but that dont make barrel racers athletes

  • @BowToTheJumpers ya... jumping is harder... how does that not make barrel racers athletes?? their still on horses. as long as your on a horse, than your an athlete

thr are some barrel racers rite now reading this comment thinking "Hey, you know what? Show Jumpings can't be athletes." But we all are athletes in our own way, so dont say that barrel racers aren't athletes because they are, along with any other horse back rider

  • I just love it when the horse rolls over on you at a barrel and flips out and drags you a couple feet and rips your boot off...NOt.....But i always getright back on:)

  • Wow, and i though Stacey Clark made it look easy.

  • i just started it

i have totally respect for everyone that dose it!

  • i love this vid because every one at my school thinks that it is just some silly sport where u run in circles as fast as u can and that anyone could do it when realy it hard because u rick ur life every time u get up there and run the barrels because it not just u there is aloso 1000 pound animal thats counting on u and ur couting on them so ur a team and that the key to good barrel racing

  • @myhorseAQUILLA23 i had to really make a bond between the horse i race with because he normally gets spooked. My friend tried to ride him for barrel racing once and he bucked her off then i did it after i had made a bond with him and he was fine but it is a big rush. A lot of people in my school have told me that its easy so i showed them one of my videos of me trying and they got the idea hat it was easy out of there heads right away. So i totally agree with you on everything.

  • @Byews101 thank and i now what u mean with the bonds with horses if they dont trust u u have no chance at anything that involves any real control :)

  • im glad theres people that fill the same way i do about barrel racing (cowgirlup!)

  • I was gonna start up barrel racing with my new mare (she used to barrel race before), we were doing SOOOO good and then I found out she has a heart arrhythmia! :( guess who's gonna be an english pleasure horse now?

  • 60 people can't barrel race -__- six 2 b then

  • I LOOVEE THIS VIDEO I SHARED IT ON FB ooooooh

  • @barrelracercrazy or whatever so true i took my twh/pony mix into barrels and well he wasnt full proof and he ran right into the gate with me on his back and i was YANKING THE CRAP OUT OF HIS MOUTH THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION!!!!!! and for all the people who will comment saying to stay out of his mouth he doesnt respond to leg pressure at all!

  • @pintomino you have to be somewhat graceful to do barrels. cuz if barrel racing wasnt graceful everyone would be knocking down barrels left and right. so think about it before you just post stuff.

  • Hey, I'm third in north Carolina for barrel racing. I just love this video and think you did an amazing job sweetie! Do you race?

  • To: grizzplusgreen, I was reading your comment and well a Tennessee Walker is probably not the best horse for barrel racing but if you really want to try you should probably listen to what i have to say. Start of getting him used to the barrels, my 6 year old arabian is really scared of the barrels one time she bucked, use the cones too!!!!!!

    Good Luck

  • I just got my first horse a couple of weeks ago. It's a Tennessee walker. It's a mare. She's broke. Gaited. The whole nine yards. I just don't know what to do to start prepping for barrel racing with her or if she is even the right horse to use.

  • I raced for 2years and I know it is hard but I get tired of running around in circles.

  • Comment removed

  • Ya I'm so tired of ppl saying tats its sooo easy n eney one can do tat they don't know what it takes and how hard we work to get that grate time and how much time we spend on this sooo called " crul n easy" sport

I lOVE BARREL RACING FOR LIFE go country girls!!!!!:) :D

  • I love barrel racing and I can do all of those words with my horse

  • Thumbs up! All who barrel racing means more than others could imagine to them! :) <3

  • Iam an english rider ,(but I already do barrel racing ) and I still love barrel racing !

  • These are all basically the horses qualities. I barrel race and next year ( 2013) I may be showing my horse :) at the farm show.

  • like this if you agree that everyone who says barrel racing isn't a sport or says its easy would fall off befor they even reached the first barrel!!

  • Barrel racing is my life and im only 10.:)

  • BARREL RACING RULES!!!!!! :)

  • Barrel Racing is underestimated by wayy to many people!!

  • If it was cruel, the horses wouldn.t have the will to do it.They do and we do. that is why it is called teamwork.

  • Barrel racing is my LIFE!!!!

  • By my horseridelessons we something do barrlerace for fun (without saddle) I love it but I can't go fast. Do you have a sugest for me?

  • @OnbekendeMiep Try this, it works for me.

Set up the barrel course and write down a target time, start with something easy like 60 seconds, have somebody time you and write down the first time, let's say 35 seconds.

Now cross out 60 seconds and try to do the course in 30 seconds, if you do, take 10 seconds off each time, so if you do it in 28 seconds, aim for 25 then 20 seconds.

But, word to the wise, stop at 10 seconds, you simply cannot do a course in 0 seconds.

  • Anybody want to answer this

How well do dressage and jumpng skills translate to barrel racing? I'm gonna guess that some do, but not all

  • @DieKolkrabe Not very well, dressage horses are used to being very technical and precise, they don't perform at high speeds ether. Barrel horses are trained to to this from the time their 3 and up, even younger. It would takea lot of getting used to for the horse to go from dressage to barrels and dressage horses are not built to comete in barrels either. It is more of a sport for QH's but you can always teach a horse the pattern.

  • @3BarrelRacer I figured as much, I'm having to pretty much break in a quarter horse from scratch, but i prefer it this way as I don't want a horse that is beyond what I'm capable of. so the horse doesn't so something I'm not ready for. I'm confused however, the cob I usually ride is listed as a dressage horse, but is happiest in a trot or a canter and loves to just turn and sprint, I'm hoping I can teach him the pattern as keeping a QH costs $95/week here.

  • @DieKolkrabe yeah you deff don't want to take on something your not ready for. but not all QH are going to be ready to run, just like all horses they need to be taught the pattern and speed, they are just the breed that is most often used for it as they can handle the sharp turns and everything else that goes along with it. there are people who use all different breeds for barrel racing, heck I've even seen mules do it! haha but they are very stubborn.

  • @3BarrelRacer The QH I got knows the pattern but wants to do it slow so I can build up my confidence with him (He's pretty much a rescued ex racer whose owner turfed him out), I'm not too comfortable with the speed, it's like a light switch, one second there's nothing, then bang, hello canter or gallop, it certainly gets my attention that's for sure. :) I'd rather grow with the horse than have a horse that knows what to do and me not, that's what I have so I can't complain really.

  • @DieKolkrabe hahaha yea, thats really the best thing you can do, its awesome start w him and he can build up your confidence and make you more comfortable. and the speed is something youll eventually get over..its the most important thing in BR lol. you may take a few spills but its all part of riding. i dont mind the speed i'll do anything on a horse haha but yeah you deff wanna make sure you know what your capable of 1st. thats a very smart way to do it :)

  • @3BarrelRacer Few spills? I started with a high bar yesterday, he decided to rest a hoof on my ribs so I'm laid up recovering, I'm figuring I'll start slow and work up, to me I'd rather be slow and stay on than go fast and break something.

Appreciate all the help too :)

  • @DieKolkrabe yeah deff, ive had my share of crazy falls but we just get right back on! I hope your ok and recover soon and well! :) thats deff not something to mess around with. and no problem :) you sound like a grat rider who knows what to do. its good not to rush into things and just hop on and go, there should be more people with that kind of attitude!

  • @3BarrelRacer I'll be okay, it takes time and effort. Been riding on and off for ten years but full time for the past two years and learning racing for the past month, jumping since last summer and dressage since last year.

  • @DieKolkrabe yeah deff, ive been riding for 10 yrs and as much as ive fallen, ive never been hurt lol. i just stick to barrels though and the flat. i might start western pleasure later on and do some small shows just for fun

  • I'm starting barrel racing soonish, I now know exactly what I agreed to....

I'm screwed but here I go

  • @DieKolkrabe how long have you been riding?

  • Barrel Racing. My dream. Once I get a horse.... e_e But I'm so western :)

  • This is so true! For y'all who think barrel racin is easy, I l

  • you can't barrel race with out this

  • ya but this is cool

  • Hey guys ! I'm 13 years old and I do all the timed events & some western pleasure . If y'all can check out my videos & comment with tips & advice then I'd greatly appreciate it . All of us youtube people need to help each other out .! I hope y'all can check out my stuff and have a good day everyone ! I really enjoyed this video, good job !

  • Barrel racing is AWESOME!!!!!!!

  • Awesome song to go with this Great video!!! It is very true,it looks so easy but it is defiantly NOT. it defiently takes strength, trust and Determination to Barrel race.

  • &barrelracers456 I totally agree that barrel racing shuld be in the world equestrian games nowadays tho im surprised that there's even a western sport in the world equestrian games, reining

  • i love this video

  • Yay! Go barrel racing! It is just so awesome! Who here agrees with me that it should be in the world equestrian games?

  • @barrelraces456 HELL YEA!!!

  • There's no need to fight about what is better.. If you don't think that barrel racing isn't a sport then your wrong. I hate it when a person in dressage or something else disses our way of sports.. You stick to your sports and we will stick to ours. We love what were doing and you love what your doing.. Its pathetic anymore with everyone fighting.. We all have our differences..

  • @FastestBarrelRacer00 "Grace" is not a useless word at all (; How could you compete in hunter under saddle without grace? And dressage is only pathetic to you because you probably aren't good at it. Don't hate just because you can't do it, or aren't even trying to. Personally, I think the diversity of what a horse can do is amazing, everything they do is amazing. To be able to go from pleasure, to jumper, to barrel, to dressage all in one species is amazing. Don't be hatin'.

  • @Pintomino wrong, I have done dressage, did it for several years. I was good at it, there just was no fun involved. My horse has plenty of diversity, thats why she is so fun to ride. I'm not hating, learn the difference between hating and stating opinion and truth. To me, Grace isn't a word use for horses. It's a word used for dancers.

  • But can you remember the rout when you're doing it, plus, any horse can jump obstacles, you're at a full gallop going in circles, can your horses that jump in shows and what ever they do, can they turn sharp turns at a full gallop? I don't think so.

  • Jumping Is easy, my kiger mustang can jump, but I wish she could barrel race, I went to barrel races and watch and I try to train penny to barrel but now she is to old. She is 19 years old and I had her for 6 years. Check my moms channel out and watch, "Lauren is a wonderful daughter"

  • Ok I am sorry but whoever the hell think barrel racing is easy and all u do is run circles around barrels have another thin coming! I hate it when people think that barrel racing isn't a sport! It is! If barrel racing isnt a sport well neither is show jumping dressage racing cross country or anything like that! We work hard for it and are proud of it! So y'all who think it is easy can just shove it where the sun don't shine!

  • @BlueMoonAlpacas It is soooo much harder than runnin in circles. To even get you horse to the levels of the best you have to put so much work into. And plus you have to have the guts and stamina yourself to stay on the horse while going that fast. It takes so much training to get your horse to the level of consistency it needs to be. Everyone who says its easy has never evn done it or has just done it for fun, messin around and suck at it but they think they know what to do.

  • If your horse jumps then cool for you, you can get hurt in Barrel racing more then you can jump your horse... Barrel racing, your horse falls on you not jump over you....

  • @Chancelover23227 You no nothing about jumping then. In barrel racing, your horse can land next to you, in showjumping your horse lands On you.

  • Haha if anybody cries from getting bucked off a horse they are tough enough to handle a horse and shouldnt be riding. You go girl!

  • A cowgirls sport <3

  • @djwqoijdio No, but its something that is handled better by a country girl ;)

  • @FastestBarrelRacer00 I don't think I ever once said that "Equestrianism is all about grace". So I know that you think that comeback was snappy and perfect, but in all honesty it had absolutely nothing to do with what I said :D I never once defined what I thought Equestrianism was. I was only saying that jumping/dressage seems more graceful then barrel racing. Alright?(:

  • @Pintomino Yea, well maybe it "seems" but truly its not.

  • @Pintomino Here's the thing. I never once said this as a 'comeback' :). I simply stated a point which in you were using the most useless word in the equestrian world. 'grace'. Horses do not need grace to be great. Dressage is not graceful, it is pathetic in my opinion. Jumping is fun, hard, and nasty at times. Barrel racing is the same, so is corss country.

  • Comment removed

  • @djwqoijdio I didn't mean I was pure country just because I got bucked off I was born country I live in the country I will never change and the horse I was riding was only 3 and he was fired up and he is only green broke so don't judge someone you don't know and o could've broken my arm because that is what I landed on and it was my bad arm abs the horse basically stepped on me

  • wow.

  • I am really sick of people saying how much harder other diciplines are than barrel racing. None of it is true. Every dicipline is hard to master. Heck! even trail riding can be difficult. My point is, horse riding is something that few have what it takes to be an equestrian. And those of us who are equestrians understand what im saying, if you dont get this or think that Im crazy, stupid, .and wrong...your probably not a real good horseman. Happy Riding and luck to all you real equestrians.

  • It's easy if you know what your doing..

  • Barrel's anit easy. This got it right. I got my own barrel horse from out west name Dilly.

  • i rope and i barrel race but im a guy... i dont barrel race for girls i barrel race because of speed and everything else listed in this video... my fastest time is 18.19 and im still working. its all i got lacota is my horse!

  • @TheWilltyrus112 Good! Whoever says men can't barrel race gets on my nerves. My boyfriend rides his horse named Pistol and wins alot of money, runs low seventeen s and high sixteens in the standard arena. He can run a 20.0 in Poles.

  • Trust me I have absoutly nothing against barrel racers! I'm a jumper and we do some scary stuff but to save my life I couldn't barrel race(: and dressage is immensly difficult- if your saying that you're obviously clueless about horses xD I never said barrel racing was easy, but I'm just saying compared to jumping and dressage, it looks fairly ungraceful :L

  • @Pintomino Your right Barrel Racing and Dressage are = And You wanna Know why Cause it's Someone Own Opinion and You cant change the Way that Person think

all In all We Have a Great Love For Horses <3

    Merry Christmas

  • @Pintomino it does look ungraceful compares to those. I barrel race and it is all I do w horses and it is extremely hard but i do honestly think dressage and jumping re harder. and very graceful the way the horses move. im a decent rider and i know myself i could never be able to get a dressage horse to do those things even if ive been training for years. its incredible the things dressage riders can make the horses do!

  • @Pintomino barrel racin is gracefull in its own way. i dont have anythin aginst dressage and jumpin. but barrel racers and barrel horses have there own grace. and to anyone who does it or loves it knows that. just because were not in the 'fancy' clothes and our horses dont know dressage patterns.doesnt mean its not gracefull. to me bein able to run around barrels at full speed and manage to stay on and look good doin it is as gracefull as it gets. but thats just my own opinion.

  • Barrel racing is NOT easy!!! It is actually really hard! Especially if you are riding a horse that likes to go fast then start bucking, thats my horse for ya! Haha! But respect goes out to all the other barrel racers out there!!!!! <3

  • Barrel Racing is NOT easy! I barrel raced my 12 year old Arabian and he trips ALL the time.. I was galloping to the barrel and he triped and fell.. My horse was fine and I broke my leg.. I had to helmet on. All the things that they list in this video is true! Barrel Racing is NOT EASY!

  • @FinishtheRide Thank you! Someone with some sense! :)

  • Barrel racing takes so much of every thing listed it hurts, and I should know because im 11 and have been barrel racing for quite a while. I got 8th place out of 50 girls in bull blowout 2011 in murray on my thoroughbred X quarter horse Charlie <3

  • @BarrelRacer701 im 12 and ive already been thrown, kicked, trampled, and abd god know what but we have to agree that those horses love what there doin and wouldnt be out there ifthey didnt!:)

  • I'm sorry but there's nothing graceful about barrel racing.... I admit it isn't easy, but if you want to see graceful look at dressage and jumping, not barrels.

    *horsesforever 3*

  • @Pintomino dressage is just makeing your horse prance pretty

  • @horsegirlmosure No, no no! Its definetly not. Thats what it may look like, but you have no clue how difficult dressage really is! All Im ganna say is...I'd like to see you try!!!

  • @Pintomino Equestrianism isn't about 'Grace' It's about the bond between a horse and rider to push eachother and test eachother to the point of exhaustion. Look at jumping. A rider is asking a horse to test his bond and trust to the human, and the horse is testing the trust and bond of his mount. A horse who had no trust for his rider will not jump the unimaginable heights. Barrel Racing, you have to trust your horses footing and his will to run to an object a normal horse wouldn't see everyday.

  • So true. I grew up in the city, and im still in the city! But guess were i live in the city, I live in the only horse area in the city. Cowgirl all the way!

  • i have been barrel racing my whole life and i will never get sick of it.

  • i love this video i grow up as a cowgirl

  • all those traits are just about the horse, the horse has the agility and strength and speed you need. those are borrowed wings.

  • @barrelracingqueen123 I just recently got bucked off my horse and I didn't cry and I am 11 so yeah I am a pure country girl so u can quit being mean to the other people who get bucked off because sometimes you can brake an arm or something and that can hurt so you better watch what you say but good luck on your barrel racing:)

  • my friend broke her collar bone and still kept going

  • @spirit1435 Haha if anybody cried from getting bucked of a horse they shouldnt be riding at all because they cleary cant handle it. You go girl!
