  • @wowmasterAJ - read before you post. :-)

  • Every cover of this song is different, and I like them all. I think Johnny Cash did a real good one.

  • Had great fun doing this gig. Was definatly the highlight. I do miss you guys (& gal "girrl" lol) a lot.

Seen clips of the next SFS and looks great.

    Pete

  • Not so sure about the 'now-defunct' bit as I heard him and and the band play this at the Americana Festival 2 days ago, absolutely awesome!

  • That will have been 'The Lonnie Donegan Band Featuring Peter Donegan'. A very good band, but - apart from Peter - a completely different lineup to the band in this clip.

  • My bad, sorry. They do actually say in the program that the band is the same line up as when Lonnie last toured. Maybe I should read more carefully!

  • This is brilliant! Peter, you are a star!

    Very good band, too.

Some years ago I saw Lonnie D and his band a couple of times. This band is as good, if not better.

  • love love love this song!

and you and the band play it sooooo well!

this is definatly my favourite version of it, shame its not on itunes!

  • Cracking video Peter, full of atmosphere.

Your Dad would have been very proud of how you and the band handle this great classic.

Hope to catch you live sometime soon.

    Carol Douglas
