:S sadly that amp doesnt sound that good :( they somehow made it sound like jesus but from my experience, the amp is for noise, not for a nice sounding noise
Does this amp really sound this shite? If not what crappy amp have they got it miked through? My old Zoom Fire30 sounds better....Just. ;o)) Not sure if this is the correct spelling for "Miked" but you get the gist. ;o)) I was maybe looking at this to buy. :o(
I bought this amp and it's really killer, good price awesome sound. This guy's not a good tester tbh so don't accord to this review too much. All that I can tell you, is that if you really tweak the knobs right it can be the best small combo uve ever had :P
BTW I bought mine in February '09 in Europe, and I also have a "Level" knob for my clean channel (you can change volume of the channel) which is really good for switching between OD / Clean, because the OD channel is usually louder.
dunno man... all in all this is an amp to practice at home, maybe for a small gig or for practicing with ur band, but not for any serious shit. and your guitar isnt good, its basically for beginners, crappy pickups and wood so dont expect a revolutionary sound out of it. you can try investing in it, like putting an EMG in the bridge, but im not sure if it would result in something reasonable
I have the Randall RX35DM, and I love it so much... But I don't know about the other one, I just know that this one is very good in my opinion...:D hope that helped...
I got one too, this video makes it sound shitty. The distortion sounds A LOT better in person. The effects are...eh...but I like to keep the chorus for both clean/distortion.
This sounds very crappy and solid state. If you're into metal, but don't want to spend a fortune on a high end Peavey or Mesa amp, a hybrid amplifier from Vox's Valvetronix "XL" line is probably as close as you could get. The "XL" series features an ultra high-gain valve pre-amplifier, which is designed for metal and has an incredibly good sound for it's price. Vox is not really famous for their high gain amplifiers, but they're actually quite good. Far better than a Roland Cube for metal.
I want to record but all my practice amps sound like toys, people have recommended the Roland Cube 30 but how 'bout this one here, the Randall? Thanx Guys
is this a joke???
the clean sounds better than the "distortion"

I suppose you are a rock/metal fan. If that is so, you are an f-ing a-hole, and remarks like this give rock music and its fans a bad name.
