  • I like how when they say corrosion inhibitors they show a corroded cooling system. And yes the oil can become acidic(due to chlorine or sulfer getting in the oil and mixing with condensation) and corrode internals.

  • Why is it every time I find something interesting on Youtube there are 49 people bickering about the dumbest, most inane annals of the topic. Half of you are misinformed or plain old Wrong.

  • this all sounds like theory not truth. extreme pressure additives?

come on wtf. engine = extreme pressure machine an u think liquid is

gona make shit tighter?? sounds kinda flimsy. and all the rest of em

seem like just a hands off lazy ass way to clean some aspect of your motor

without actually having to know it. FU oil companies n F ur stupid lazy man

spending knowledge. u didnt invent the engine fckoff!

  • @McmullenEJ~ shut up, u dont know what you're talking about!

  • @McmullenEJ All fo these are in the engine oil...

    or at least should be.

  • LOOOOLL Corrosion Inhibitors?? Corrosion is only in water! So what is doing in oil additives? The manufacturer tries to troll us. FFFUUUU

  • @Kolinsky19 In cold starts there's condensation. Now you know! ;)

  • Notice it's a DOHC VTEC engine @ 0:20? Primary and VTEC lobes along with the rocker pads? Yup.

  • @nusdogg alot of motors and companies have created variable valve timing. the first to invent it was one david buick (yes gm) in the early 80s. honda was the only one to jump on the idea and improve on vvt a lil.

  • @sookyz Fiat and Porsche were first, follow by GM.

  • Quite apart from worn valve stems and seals, I would expect any engine to have an oil coating on the inlet valves, as well as everything else, due to the crankcase breather system. More so in the case of a worn example.

  • The reports of my additives are greatly exa-gearated.

  • Actually the throat of the intake valves

In a Mercedes w126 is in contact with motor oil therefore making an intake valve cleaner worth while as well the teroydial recess of the piston would automatically subject the coinciding open valves to treatment /oil additive

So shove your ego up your ass

    Peace

    Mercedes mechanic 15 years

  • so let me get this straight.... oil is some how supposed to prevent build up on valves when oil does not even contact the valve itself? other then the stemt, if the valve guides are worn you can get build up on the valve but this is a factor of bad stem seals usually from poor rocker/cam lob geomerty as opposed to oil detergenets or lack there of

  • What kind of accent is this? Sounds Australian, crossed with English, crossed with Ohio.

  • @MercedesDieselGuy its aussie

  • @nerdflanders8710 Well, I never claimed to be all that smart. Awesome screenname, by the way.

  • @MercedesDieselGuy huh? youd have to be smarter than a dumass aussie anyday of the week.

  • thanks for this short but concise information

  • Turkeyvomit, Yesss... I ... AM! (drinks pigs blood then smiles) Ahhhh, so refreshing...

  • I am the end of the world.
