Well a mid level Matrix with an auto box will run a mid 14. The XRS models with a turbo are running low 13's on street tires.

Try this for further reading. The MATRIX is the AWD Corolla used in Rally. With the 3sgte engine and all cars being restricted to 300HP at the time, they forgot to restrict the 3sgte in torque, because it was making 640ft-lbs of TQ! A car is only as good as it's make. Toyota is well known for the 3sgte, one of the best 4 cylinder engines to DATE!

@24okay Don't know what you are talking about. My Matrix isnt AWD or a 3sgte. None of the Matrix's come with that engine....

And that's a 130 stock hp Matrix with auto box running mid 14's. Not bad considering the car will run a high 16 stock.

Well then I guess the Chassis is. Because The Matrix doe come in AWD, but from what I read about the XRS models, they are only auto and that is the only way to get the AWD version. I wish we got the Caldina GT-Four here instead of the Matrix with the 3sgte engine. That would be SWEET!.

@24okay The XRS comes with a 1.8l 2ZZ motor, and a 6 speed ;) The XRS Auto is pretty rare but they are out there. If you goto my channel you can see vids of a XRS I turbo'd. It's a 6speed, FWD, ~250whp.

The Magnum is a R/T not a SRT. It was my dad's car, he has drag raced a LONG time. That was actually his best run of the day. The car was mostly stock, just a CAI and chip.

Nice. This is a XR and automatic too. Still ran pretty damn strong. Just couldnt get the car to do the 1-2 shift quickly. You will see the magnum gain on my for a sec while Im waiting to shift.....lol

ay i have a 2003 toyota matrix as well and im wondering how there is any way to make it shift quicker from gears 1 to 2 because it is really slow makes the accileration so much slower
