  • his brain was way before his time, wish you could still be alive to be telling the truth george,it is more relevant now than ever.

  • its all true yet the audience laughs... just like Bill Hicks....YOU LIVE IN THE USSA..WAKE THE FUCK UP SHEEPLE!!!!!!!

  • This is the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth. After all, the founding fathers (9 of them) 7 of them were slave owners. When they drafted the constitution they were still practicing slavery. So the country started off on the wrong fucking foot to begin with and nothing has changed.

  • The American Dream is a myth says the multi-millionaire from humble beginnings and a single parent household.

  • for real

  • cannot hear it

  • @imagirl615 why not,?! because its the disturbing reality?

  • @R7I0 Anyone with half a brain knows there will be assassination attempts on Ron Paul should he make it into the oval office & try to free the US from the Federal Reserve System. The least u could do is vote with ur conscience, but you'd rather wallow in apathy and accept that you have no power to change anything. Also, whether or not Ron Paul is a member of John Birch Society is irrelevant. MLK and Gandhi also had racist backgrounds, but made positive changes thru nonviolent tactics.

  • @Oceanborne666 Amen.

  • Comment removed

  • Did he get his testicles laminated?

  • Comment removed

  • @R7I0 After seeing the March on the WH yesterday, I'd seriously rethink your statement or you could end up on the wrong side. Ron Paul is not a member of Birch - you can fall for the propoganda if you want that has already been debunked. Old news is no news at all.

  • WMG SUCKS

  • @R7I0 Educate me on the supposed "Bullshit" that Carlin and Hicks would "see through". Or were you just talking big on youtube without actually knowing anything?

  • @abuseyourpower

The people on the internet are not your educators. Look at the world yourself and don't troll.

  • @Bulloxe4 I have looked at the world for myself. I'm trying to gain perspective here. The internet is one of the greatest tools for learning. He made a bold claim, I want him to back it up and prove it to me. I'm not trolling, I'm not sure you even know the definition. You sound so arrogant "Look at the world yourself"...like you have found all the answers. Run along now, the adults are trying to have a conversation. Besides, you're late for school.

  • @abuseyourpower

You want the late George Carlin to back up his claim that america is run by corporate need? Go read his books. He wrote a nice amount.

That's what I mean go look at the world yourself. I don't mean watch the birds. I mean go and get the literature on a topic and read it yourself, don't engage in pointless trolling.

Before you weak mind says I'm arogant, I'm not, I am just normal, like everybody else who didn't expect youtube to give them a full education.

  • @Bulloxe4 You obviously don't know A) Anything about Ron Paul...or B) The context of my comments. I'm not going to argue with an idiot. Read his comments and my responses in full or don't even bother talking to me, you look like a fool and Youtube knows it. You got flagged for spam, nobody wants to hear from you.

  • @abuseyourpower

    I wasn't flagged.

  • @R7I0 That defeatist attitude of yours is going to achieve you an awful lot in your life. What's so wrong with the John Birch Society? I'm well aware of what it is, but I have no clue why it's so wrong in your eyes. Sounds like you are perfectly satisfied with rolling over and obeying, people are getting excited about an honest man running for president as you assert Carlin and Hicks perspective on Ron Paul like you fucking knew them. Your "Unpopular Opinion" doesn't impress me. Admit it.

  • Still no sound...

  • i cant hear it

  • You all have the power. WE all have the power. All it takes is the will. The land belongs to US. No to them. The tyrant fears the people more than the people fear the tyrant. Come out of your cozzy warm living rooms. Say it out loud so that those owners hear it loud and clear! NO MORE!

  • @03205211235 Except the people of your country have grown too lazy to do anything...

  • @jonasgrant sadly yes.

  • No luck here. can't "hear".

  • What can we do? Kill them? No. We can't kill them. They're just humans, but we can't kill them. What more can we do?

  • I cant hear a shit. Is Bigbrother fucking this video?

  • George Carlin for prime minister

  • @Roundline Too bad he's dead

  • @R7I0

Yes but if Ron Paul does get murdered, then there will be an uproar that hasnt been seen before in hundreds of years, the american people will rise up with furious anger, dont forget, you people have guns, people in europe dont have jack shit, the right to bear arms is the main thing that has stopped you becomming complete slaves.

  • @postmasterw00t U can rise up but before you do it u are all in the FEMA camps eating Zyclon B. They have for long time ago total controll of people that is the resistance via google, facebook and so on. So when the time comes they collect u before u have time to organice.

  • @kemirockarfett Fuck it then ill just commit suicide when it comes to that, whats your response to that?

  • @postmasterw00t I have an very simple answer. Infowars have woke up a lot of american people. U will not have democrasy through election as u know as its election fraud going on, so Ron Paul will not be to power. So you have to organice!!! Organice the masses and go and say hey to the FED owners! Say Hei hei hallo ! And when you rig a gulliotin in front of the white house and let it go hot !

  • @postmasterw00t The right to bear arms gives the illusion that we can rise up. Let's say the people who have guns form their revolution & march against the government. Well, the government has a much better arsenal & better trained soldiers, due to them controlling the military, so what do think the end result will be? Thousands of citizens killed for disobeying "the law". That's what history would teach the future generations.

  • @TheBostonRage Im talking hypothetically, it will never happen everyone is too brainwashed and the eliete is too strong. But in a scenario where everyone rose up together, the military would likely not kill all their own citizens or be able too, if they did kill everyone then there will only be the military and their masters left. Besides its irrelevant, im not American.

  • @postmasterw00t In George Carlin's words, power does what it wants. I wouldn't put it past them to kill everyone, branding them terrorists. I will agree that the government would be stupid to do something of that nature. My point was simply that the right to bear arms doesn't mean anything anymore.

  • @TheBostonRage It means you can buy a weapon to protect yourself and your family, where i am from we cannot do that, there is no protection. The right to bear arms IS IMPORTANT, dont delude yourself into thinking it doesnt matter. You can go down fighting, most people around the world cant even do that.

  • @postmasterw00t & grants others the ability to purchase weapons simply to kill others, not protection. For every positive there is a negative to match it. Whatever meaning it had during our revolution dwindled when the musket became outclassed.

  • @TheBostonRage Im against guns, i dont think people should be able to buy guns, i live in a place where guns are not really an issue, but its knife crime instead, so there is always something. Id rather be shot in the head than stabbed in the heart. The fact is governments are corrupt and people are evil, its a shame but its true.

  • @postmasterw00t I agree on the count that someone somewhere will always find a way to kill someone else with any object, & knife crime is an issue. However, knives have become important for what/the way we eat, whereas guns only seem important. That's the only argument I can say, but you're right, if it's not guns, it's something else.

Governments are corrupt because people are selfish liars. If people never lied, incompetent leaders won't be elected, so ultimately it's humanity's fault.

  • 28 people just went to sleep

  • @R7I0 Sadly, you are right. Even though I support Ron Paul, he would never get elected. -_- The elite just don't want that. They want us citizens to be obedient for what they want to do with us. They are stripping our freedoms away, and we need to do something about it.

  • let's be honest though...technically WMG owns this.

  • @InfinityEnterprises Nobody owns the truth!

  • @yendor79 no but somebody does own this intellectual property, as in the actual video and the recording thereof and the words used. the entity that controls that owns this work is Home Box Office (HBO), a subsidiary of the Warner Media Group (WMG). Purely legally speaking this is owned by them. Fair use is debatable but bottom line is that this belongs to them.

  • @InfinityEnterprises WMG may own the broadcast but not the statements once they were made public, thus what interest is there to block this snippet since it's just quoting these statements in particular & not a more considerable part of the whole transmission. So yes your are correct in strictly legal terms but realistically speaking it's of little practical validity.

  • Audio wasn't working.. powerful transcript.

  • This bitis even more correct for 2012

  • Much of this bit was sampled in Biogenesis's totally fuckin badass psychedelic trance track, "The Big Club". watch?v=cF3GB2qG6ME

  • "yoga for relaxation"? hmm, let's see what that is...

  • can't hear it

  • Unions own the schools? That's great. Who decides what is taught in those schools? Unions again, are you sure? Really people, find out who makes the decisions about what your kid learns in school, find out where the money comes from, then comment.

  • Carlin's Reanimated Robot Corpse For President 2012

  • 26 dislikes... I cringe at the thought that I may actually know some of these people, but it is possible

  • oh George. Would that we had you as a candidate. Miss you!

  • cant hear this?

  • @TheZimmerman22 Me neither :-/

  • Yeah, businessmen own schools, not unions. *facepalm" Try again George. Honestly, who in their right mind believe businessmen own American schools? That doesn't make an fucking sense at all! The government has a monopoly on schools (there are NO private schools!) and teacher's unions have such a stranglehold that if a teacher harasses a student they aren't fired they're sent to a green room and left on pay. Nice bullshit propaganda there.

  • @SpellboundSolution Can't see the forest for the trees man, huh? Get some glasses asap

  • @cedonni I guess I can't see the forest, want to explain what it looks like? You people are like religious preachers, you can never show us your god but we're ignorant are faithless if we don't believe in him. Sorry, business doesn't control American education, unions do. You don't need magical glasses to see that, just a pair of eyes.

  • it's a big fuckin club .. and u ain't in it !!

  • nope really there is no sound..im listening to loads of other stuff..this one isnt working!

  • fghjkl

  • the 26 ppl who disliked are from illuminati

  • @R7I0 the most desperate songs are the most beautiful..

  • This is why I can hardly bring myself to vote. Politics is a joke, it's a bunch of cocksuckers pretending to know how to run a country. They're all idiots, every republican and every democrat. Everyone from Obama to Ron Paul, everyone from Bill O'reilly to Bill Maher. They're all idiots.

  • @R7I0 That's assuming that Ron Paul isn't on their side in the first place. I think he is.

  • Good stuff, but his best bit by far is his riff on religion and god in "You are All Diseased".

  • We continue to elect these rich cock suckers that don't care about you at all. Did you hear what Willard "Mitt" Romney said today? "I not concerned about the very poor people."

  • fuck ron paul. im so tired of people treating that guy like god. fuck him and every other scumbag that runs for office. he won't do shit. he CAN'T do shit. he knows. why don't you? ron paul voters are a joke.

  • What happens if Ron paul is a puppet, rather have them all killed off then,

  • Soulgasm!

GC, budy, you were one hell an old fuck awesome bad ass.

  • no audio

  • @toxiccero your headset/speakers are broken.

  • This 3 minutes is argueably the finest George Carlin ever. No truer words were ever spoken.

  • Yet, this fellow is broadcast nationally.

  • People need to open their eyes

  • I can't hear it

  • 24 people belong to the 1%

  • Very well said

  • No sound!.. :(

  • They took out the audio again. seriously FUCK YOU WMG

  • THIS IS WHY WE NEED RON PAUL 2012!!!!

  • @vbotond9 While I agree with your choice for the Republican nomination 2012 (BTW, I'm not a Republican)-I think it's wise to say that if you think that any one political/religious/social ideology is a "just fit" perfect, you're making a mistake. It's perception-but more importantly, I respect your beliefs, and sometimes-I might just happen to agree with you

RIP George, somewhere..God is saying "finally, someone who got the point!!!

  • @vbotond9 you are kidding, right? a rich old texan with a military background...YEAH RIGHT YOU GUYS SO NEED THAT SHIT AGAIN!

  • End the Fed!

    RIP George Carlin.

  • looking back now... i cant believe i didnt take this man word for word... he was WAY more on the target than any of us could imagine...

  • Fucking genius....

  • I really love Carlin for so many fantastic statements he made and this one is no exception, but - as usual - I do not just agree 100%. I think he is right to a point, but completely wrong on others and his conclusions are not necessarily the same as mine. At least not all of them.

For starters, the problem are not "rich bastards", but "bastards with power". Rich people buy government, because government is there to be bought and it is propped up by those who would like to STEAL from the rich.

  • @AmadeusPower There are lots of rich people who do not want to harm anyone or steal from anyone. Rich people who are not interested in getting richer, as they are giving away billions. And there are poor people who try to rip you off at ever step of the way.

Rich or poor is not the issue. POWER and the desire for power is.

  • @brewhaha2010 Yes, I actually do know 2 billionaires. One is Kudelski, a Polish guy who arrived at my university with no money and dropped out to create the smallest professional tape recorder in the world in the 1960s, the Nagra. Then his company started making encryption chips for TV channels etc. The value of his company, still family run, is now in the billions. They're all damn geniuses in the family.

  • @brewhaha2010 The other guy I know is the founder of Logitech, who was also a student at the same university. Both, Kudelski and Borel were there before my time, but I did get to work with Logitech when they were still a very small company.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with them being billionaires. Who else should have gotten the money their companies earned? Every customer paid out of his own free will, all employees were well paid. And profits kept the companies running.

  • @brewhaha2010 Both of those billionaires are nice people and never showed any interest in politics. Neither of them has ever bought any special favor from a politician, as far as I know. What for? They are Swiss and operate in a global market. What favors could they possibly buy and for what? Millions of people buy their products for $20 to $500 each. There are no large contracts to pay corruption money for.

  • @AmadeusPower Money=Power When the Power of love overrides the Love of Power the world be find peace. Jimmie Hendrix

  • @brewhaha2010 Money is NOT power, that's complete bullshit. Money is a tool for people who COOPERATE. You can't threaten anyone with money. How would that work? "Do this or I'll hit you with a wad of dollar bills"? The only way money can be "power" is by paying people to USE VIOLENCE, but in that case, the power is not in the money, but in the fact that some people commit criminal acts.

Money is about PERSUASION and TRADE FOR MUTUAL BENEFIT. It's the most civilized and peaceful tool.

  • @AmadeusPower Anyone who thinks that power is money should check out what happened to Chodorchovsky, formerly the richest man in the USSR, when government went after him. His billions did not help him AT ALL.

  • Fuck religion.

  • i thought this was gonna be funny :/

  • this man should be heard on tv every day. Im 18 and could see all the bullshit these rich bastards put us through. Its only going to get worse. Us as people should unite as one, start a revolution to stop corruption. Fuck governments were all cattle working for poisonous snakes. REVOLUTION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Fuck you all 24 of you

  • not truth

  • @Marckyle64 the truth is always ugly...:)

  • Great George Carlin explained how the whole world actually works - not just the Uncle Sam, no no no - the truth is that no matter in which country you live you're ultimately screwed.

I miss the old fuck, he shall be missed.

  • he was got by illuminati

  • anyone thought about the illuminati? :/

  • Old George figured it out and told it like it is, later in life. Voting isn't freedom, it's the act of choosing the most *seemingly* benevolent slave owner...but people are too ignorant and dependent to know the difference. It's not their fault, they were trained to not to think, in the gov't school system. The current corporatist system is an unholy, fascist marriage between the state and it's incorporated offspring. Abolish the state and free the markets!

  • Really think Dems are much different to Republicans, "Paper or Plastic, Pepsi or Coke" is how Carlin so famously described it. Obamma had his chance to give us Universal health care, Christ he had majority in both House and look what happened. Big business rules America and pulls the strings, regardless which way you vote!!!!

  • The world is worse off without him....

  • It's a bit ironic that WMG kept trying to claim ownership of this video to take it down, don't ya think?

  • RUN DMT SENT ME

  • He is SO right!!! :D

  • If we all got together...

    War on bullshit...

  • If you take out George Carlin's name at the top, this sounds an awful lot like the conspiracy nuts I deal with every day. Conspiracy nuts who've burned their brains out on crack, meth, booze. Alarmists whose brain chemistry doesn't quite work like other people's, naysayers who are certain that nothing is as it seems, that somehow, somewhere, there are Big Bad Guys whose sole purpose and goal is to keep everyone else down.

Some of what he says has merit, I'll admit. But not all of it.

  • occupy wall street is doing something about this. w w w occupy student debt campaign (dot) org

  • "IT's a big club.. And YOU AIN'T IN IT!"

  • Only truth

  • those who dislike are part of the fuck-you-system

  • Makes you wonder what Carlin would say if he was around to see the Occupy movements going on in the world now.

  • Well, I respectfully disagree with Mr. Carlin in one respect. Education will always suck and will not get better if we expect THEM to fix it just out of the kindness of their hearts. We want decent, affordable education in America again, we'll have to TAKE IT BACK!

Then again, I suspect that might have been what he was trying for, maybe he was trying to get people angry and fired up.

  • what set is this from?

  • I will never get tired watching this!

  • I would just LOVE to hear George's take on the OWS crowd. Sadly, we won't.

  • Occupy Wall Street down with the new world order!!

  • i love my country, but it really sucks. the economy is in the shitter and the bisiness assholes don't seem to care, as long as they get their stuff there as happy as can be, while they live off the blood sweat and tears of the lower class. fuck these guys, may they rot in hell.

  • @virtuecry People arent occupying Wall street out of greed, they are doing it out of righteousness for those who manipulate 99% of the populace.. many would be happy with the most basic of needs, but it's a whole other story if we are being disregarded and blinded to the shit that's really going down. Wall street movement is not for the greed of the 99%-ers so to speak, but to oppose the greed of the 1% who run this fucked up system

  • I have no job, I do not live with my parents, and my only source of income affords me very few luxuries. But I have a roof over my head, food in my belly, clothes on my back, and access to the internet. I am the 99% in America, but I'm in the top 10% of the world. Sometimes us Americans think we deserve more, and I think that's arrogant and wrong. I oppose the Occupy Wallstreet movement because I am not greedy.

  • @VirtueCry That is a shitty reason to be against Occupy. You are a product of the 1%'s influence! Look at it this way; we might be in the top 10%, but if this is the best we can do politically, what does it mean for the rest of the world? It's better to correct this _now_, as soon as possible, BEFORE it spreads to governments that are even worse than ours.

  • @VirtueCry

You don't know what the hell your talking about. Yes Americans are in the top 10% of the world, but it's much more expensive to live almost anywhere in this country than almost anywhere else. This generation will actually have LESS than the previous and more importantly, the middle class is shrinking. If something is not done NOW to help the poor, the economy will completely collapse and we'll be in a new great depression.

  • @unopeneddoor I was talking about how we, as Americans, sometimes lose sight of what is to be poor and what is to be wealthy. Our poorest have access the world's best medicine, food, running water and internet. In some other countries, you'd have to be the top 1% to get any of that. The "we are the 99%" slogan is deceptive. People spouting that don't even realize that they are the in the top 10%.

  • @VirtueCry we're not in other countries...

  • @VirtueCry because there's suffering to a greater degree half way accross the world , we're not allowed to fight for our happiness and equality?

  • @TheRealDrewSnyder That's not what I'm saying at all. I just believe the OWS protesters don't realize that they are in the top 10%, and that it's wrong for them to say they are the "99%" when they have access to running water, internet, food, and shelter.

  • @VirtueCry why is it that progressives compare us to other countries with universal healthcare, higher quality of living, and generally happier people, and the conservatives always want to compare us to some 3rd world shit-hole?

  • George was the one guy in the US whose back I'd cover. He knew what was up and spoke out about it. Problem is people like to buy into "the Dream" because they know they have no hope. The Dream is opiate it's a drug and the population needs the opiate. So get some sleep so you can get up tomorrow and do it all over again and again and again

  • People NEED to hear this...really! Please...listen to this !!!

  • George Carlin. This first Occupy protester...

  • No Audio man. :(

  • "...increasingly shittier jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime, and the vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it. And now they're comin' for your SOCIAL SECURITY MONEY."

    Two things Carlin missed...

    WHO is doing this...?

    And WHY?

    WHO = Fat Katz

WHY = much more sinister than mere greed, chumps.

  • Thank you for posting this and providing a transcript. He clearly nailed it.

One small correction in the transcription: it is "just dumb enough to passively accept."

  • 18 people still believe in "The American Dream" and are still asleep so they believe it. No truer words have ever been spoken in 3 minutes time. George I miss you we need you now more than ever!

  • Comedians are the only ones able to dare talk about this stuff. Not the news, not the Tonight Show. They are the modern court jesters and I am surprised no one yelled "off with their heads." That said. We aren't owned. Man is free when he chooses to be, to quote Voltaire.

  • @FlowYeTome man is free when he choses to be under the condition that the strong, powerful and rich, doesnt decide otherwise. If a US citizen all of a sudden decides I'M FREE BECAUSE I CHOSE IT and he stops listening to his government and paying taxes etc etc etc, he will go to prison. Simple as that.

  • @EduardoElSexypants I appreciate your challenge, but one can be free in jail. Thoreau said he was more free in jail than all the dimwits in Concord walking around ignorant. Read his easay on Civil Disobedience.. Mandela says jail (30 yrs!) is where he found out what freedeom was. Rubin "hurricane" Carter, Malcolm X, Ghandi, MLK jr., ditto. No one can imprison the spirit. And if they kill you , you died on your feet instead of living on your knees. Don't give away your power-- u feel enslaved?

  • @FlowYeTome You know, all those people are talking about mental freedom. But they still lose their physical freedom, which sucks. I'd rather have both and keep quiet rather than making a fuss and losing one/both.

  • @EduardoElSexypants Well, if you keep quiet, or feel forced to, then you are physically free but not mentally free. Sorry to do this tit for tat, but I have been in jail and have strong opinions on the issue. To self-censor, even unconsciously, that is to be owned. I like Carlin, but sorry, nobody owns me. He tells that to the audience, but he doesn't include himself among the supposed slaves. I have faced the torture and hell of jail, and I emerged stronger. Anyway, we can agree to disagree.

  • initiate the venus project!!!

  • Passion.

  • If you want to at least try to do something about all of this, please watch the Zeitgeist Movies, they're in my channel favorites.

  • i base my life on the teachings of GC

  • Pure genius

  • George said it all years ago. Capitalism is the dead oposite of Democracy.

True Democracy is control by the electorate of everything.

  • He reminds me of the joker. A man of truth.

  • I spent 2 nights in the wall 99 chat room poor kids are no more then crying rabbits wanting to get out of the house. We are serfs they like to hear us wine. I think I'm just going to live in a cave or go slapahoe on the next person that treads. It be nice to be free for at least one moment before I die. Despotism and serfdom as far as mans eye's have seen how nice it must be to those blind. At least we will get our bridges and roads fixed if the lords direct us. Carlin I'll remember him.

  • Rip - George Carlin

  • so true !!!

  • Although I agree with the very basic purpose of OWS, they are same people, with the very same education Carlin was referring to. A media and government sponsored brainwashing, and unfortunately they do not realize that they are being played as part of the big game. If the bankers come down, great. But if they the OWS has their way about the rest of the issues, how to fix it and who should be in charge, just remember, These are the same persons who said Obama was gonna fix everything.Media tools.

  • i would replace all the pop stars and celebrities of today by george if i could

a world where geniuses die early and shitheads like bieber live

  • He was the

Thomas the tank engine - Voice over.

  • We miss you George!!
