I love Alice Cooper, but really Alice, enough is enough. Nobody is copying you! They may be influenced by you, like you were influenced by those before you. For Christ's sake, another example is King Diamond, who is a huge Alice Cooper fan, and sites Alice as a huge influence on him, and Alice has nothing but negative words for the guy. Not sure why he picks and chooses like that.

I love Alice,but his comment about Blackie stealing his act was out of line.Alice Cooper didnt invent shock and horror.I doubt if Vincent Price sat around accusing Alice of stealing parts of his act,not likely but he would have been justified.If anything,I would have thought Alice Cooper would be flattered.Imitation is the highest compliment one can give.

Well the big difference today is that "WASP" has got no horror left on stage when "Alice Cooper" still has a fine horror-show (been to 1 WASP and 2 Alice Cooper concerts)

Check Arthur Brown's "Fire" video. It's like, holy shit, it's Alice Cooper! I love Alice, but that seems to be the biggest rip-off of all. The makeup is almost identical. The New York Dolls, KISS (my favorite), Motley Crue, Twisted Sister, W.A.S.P., Marilyn Manson, and Slipknot, all had their own original spin on the makeup and theatricality thing. But for me, the Brown/Cooper thing is just too close for comfort (chronologically too). And yes, Screamin' Jay Hawkins was first.

I love both, but come on Alice, W.A.S.P is musically a lot more serious than you(well at least post their glam period), so not really that similar.

I love Alice but he's wrong on this one... how can he say that Wasp stole from him then turn around and compliment fukn Manson... that's bullshit. Manson focused TOO MUCH on his image and not his music while Wasp, Kiss, Alice, Ozzy, etc. focused fairly equal on both. Manson and Slipknot... after the shock wears off, no one cares cause they didn't have the songwriting and melody like the ones who came before them. Alice copied Arthur Brown, Brown copied Screamin Jay Hawkins, and so on...

@dildo78 I totally agree with you! I absolutely LOVE Alice Cooper but he ain't always right, sorry Alice. Can't say that WASP stole everything from Alice because Alice is an influence to many rock bands now! Like WASP or Manson or Lordi, they've all borrowed from Alice and did it in their own way. As long as they don't have a guillotine on stage they haven't stolen anything!

I love Alice but it seems like he always criticises anyone who was inspired by him. He has also slammed Lordi and Slipknot and Manson for "stealing" off him. Why doesnt he slam rob zombie? he was inspired by alice too. Alice was inspired by arthur brown. nobody is original and everybody is inspired by someone else. Still love alice
