@lhelene92 I vary between the two grip styles and I love this mouse, great anyway. It's really ergonomic and comfortable, and the mouse buttons are really easy to press, tiniest squeeze sets it off. I have the 3500 DPI version and I hardly ever have it up that high, so you could go for the 1800dpi version if you want. Great mouse, and not too expensive or over the top like the Lachesis I have.

@lhelene92 Late response, but each has its pros and cons. Claw grip has a learning curve. Though it allows a faster response and mouse movement time. Finger grip takes alot of practice, as it causes fatigue

I've got an old beat up mx510 and a intelli explorer 3.0. I guess I prefer Palm because my friend let me borrow his copperhead for a while and I didn't like it. Probably gonna go with this razer or a g500, I haven't bought a new mouse in a coons age.

u really should test the lazers too =P this mouse response is massive!!!! some tests show that this mouse can read PERFECTLY movements of 4 meters per second . its almost stupid :D logitech mx518 has about half that reading capability and i guess no one will notice it... but its a safety if u really wanna feel cousy playing , and beeing cousy playing hardcore shooters to me is much more than just design ...that responsiveness is the master variant in my choices

Whyd u change ur ie 3.0? . The deathadder is a really good mouse but the WMO 1.1, ie 1.1 , ie 3.0 , are in my opinion the best mice for competitive online games. They may not be sexy looking or high in dpi/pollingrate, but their design/shape/sensor placement is perfect for getting heatshots easy. I still use the WMO 1.1 for enemy territory wolfenstein(yeah old game but the most challenging online game ive everplayed) and i perform way better with it than my deathadder/mx518/g5/mamba.

cause the ie 3.0 has a bug in the scrool _MHEELDOWN i have it binded to jump and the bug make it jump alone :S but ye the mouse have ab extremely precision and quite comfortable but that bug ... :S

and i buy mx518 its a prety good mouse i change it for no reason xD

and now deathadder 3.5g ITS PERFECT !

no i have the mamba, and 5600dpi is insane, cant use that much.Its a great mouse tho, no delay in wireless. But right now i love using the deathadder more simply because the infrared sensor is just better than the mamba's laser sensor. It just seems way more accurate.

For accuracy , low in-game sens and high dpi , is what i think is the best setting.

When i play games i use 1800dpi, and the lowest ingame sens, then i adjust the sensitivity in the deathadders driver's till the movement feels right. But its all about personal preference.

Hello i really want to get the deathadder again something happen last time with mine so i want to order another one again. I dono i should get the razer deathadder 3g or 3.5g last time i had the 3g but the 3.5g is cheaper now on amazon some how and has more dpi the cord is better and i think it is smaller someone please help me with the difference between them.

the old 3g one has 1800dpi, the new 3.5g one has 3500dpi. The old one kinda have a plastic cord(i think), while the new one has a braided cord. i dont think theres anymore differences.

Got one for Christmas. I love how it feels and it functions well, but I have a really hard time lifting it because of the smoothness and slope on the right side, so I basically always have to play on about 4 sensitivity at 3500 dpi (4 in CSS, other games are differnt) because when I try to lift it, it slips outta my hand. : /

So I'm not as accurate as I was able to be with my Lachesis because the Lachesis was easy for me to lift so I could keep it on low sens.

There aren't any mice that are especially good for certain games, there are only mice that are especially good for certain players.

Based on personal preference, the Deathadder is mainly a FPS mouse.

sadly the deathadder is the same.

but some people mod the deathadder to have the same lift of distance as the mamba.

so if u do the cd test , even with 1 cd it woudnt track anymore. best lift off distance

but to get that with the deathadder

If had a copperhead and it scrapes on the mousepad after only 6 months of Use!!!!!! this is bad but then again i havent treated it right id go as far to make a bold statement saying that copperheads are very undurable and the side rails just make it hard to click the buttons.The only reason people say copperhead is for claw grippers is because of the tiny tiny grouves at the end of the mouse that isnt a good enough reason for me to buy a copperhead again ever when DA is 10 bucks cheaper.RH too.

I recently had to switch to this, because the rightclick key got stucked, and it was time for me to get a new mouse anyway!

I bought this one, and i can tell you.. It wont let you down. Always working, from when you plug it in, till its ready to be used it takes less than 3 seconds.
