I've actually posted this on a few other videos of this. I think Thrice went way way too hard on this song. It is supposed to be slower & deeper than that. And the lyrics are so amazingly powerful that you should be able to HEAR the words. You did a great job here. My only suggestion is to try and FEEL the words a little more. It just sounds like you're reading the lyrics more than singing them. Still, great job. Hope to see more!

Because I have my opinion, which is just as valid as yours. Would it make you feel more warm and fuzzy inside if everyone prefixed their posts with 'imo'? It is my opinion that the lyrics of this song, which are astoundingly powerful, would be better suited in a slower softer song... specifically one in which the lyrics could be heard more clearly

I would just think that as an artist, you would portray your product the way you thought it should be (which would be the correct way since you created it). Being the person who creates something, like a song, gives that person the right to decide how it should be done. You are more than welcome to your opinion. I was just confused by how you knew how the song was "supposed" be, I think the person/band responsible for the song should get to choose that. Next time they should ask you first.
