Definitely one of the most dramatic and sad parts of the whole series. Love the audio and the music that was mixed in...but the subtitled clips probably cracked everyone up. XD

He meant to shoot Ran. If he had hit that other guy, then that would probably be better. xD

He meant to shoot Ran because the bad guy was using her as a hostage. Shinichi only skimmed her though, so that she would become dead weight to the guy so that Kogoro could approach him.

@seirine1 Yes, he shot her on purpose. But, he did only graze her leg. The point was to make the criminal feel like the hostage was nolonger useful; just something that would be lugged around. So he dropped her. Technically, shooting her saved her life!

@seirine1 If you shoot the hostage, the crook has nothing. It's a sad thing, but it's the best way to ruin the crook's chances of escape.
