Most dogs like our carts because they are comfortable and bio-mechanically sensible - that is, they support on the pelvic floor, not the soft tissue, and they can use their legs as much as they are able. Most dogs take right off in our carts - your homemade may not be comfortable.
Does it take a while for a dog to get use to walking in one of these? My 11 year old boxer mix could walk normal until just a few months ago. We found instructions to make her one of pvc pipe and when we put her in it she just folds up and falls. Do some dogs just never take to a wheelchair?
