What happened to the GameKnights Radio Podcast? ;( I heard that there was a life show, but it sucks that I miss it every time! Can't you upload it somewhere that others can tune in?
@knockers21 Dude, Raiden is like the original bullet-hell game! Look up some game footage of the later stages. I don't want to be rude here, but have you even played any of the Raiden games?
@xaer0knight Those aren't really considered bullet-hell because they have terrain you have to avoid as well, and can sometimes use terrain to avoid fire. Bullet-hell games are shooters where the only thing you have to avoid is bullets (and the enemies of course).
@GameKnightsShow Yes I have played and own Raiden I and II and all the Raiden Fighters Aces.I agree that the Raiden games are hard and do have a whole lot of action going on, but it's nowhere near the stupidly absurd amounts of bullets some other games throw out. In fact, I think that's why Raiden is so fondly remembered because it wasn't some impossible shooter that could only be beaten by masters.
@GameKnightsShow Actually Raiden games are not considered danmaku shooters. Sure, they are difficult, but that doesn't make them danmaku (bullet curtain).
Google any Japanese listing for bullet hell shooting games - no Raiden there.

I don't think Raiden is actually a bullet hell game. Ikaruga and DoDonPachi would be closer.

@GameKnightsShow what now what about Taito's Darius? and even Capcom's 19?? series and Konami's Graidus. those in the arcade are hell for bullets :)
