This society creates learning problems. Especially CATHOLIC schools. They smack you around and emasculate a kid for not understanding math. The teachers are deranged and abusive. And then the KID gets accused of being "disordered"! How VILE! This evil capitalist system doesn't want educated people so they torment and humiliate kids DAILY in their religious gulags. And when the kids has an appropriate aversion to the weapon used against him (math) he is said to be "disordered". Fuck society.
@flyawayreborns95 I actually wasn't tested for Dyscalculia. You see I went to school during the 90s (graduated in 2002.) When I was going to school no one really knew about Dyscalculia or tested for it. What they told me is that I had a Math disability and required special services for it. When I became older I realized that my problems coinside with what typical people with Dyscalculia have as symptomes. I can tell you that there are ways to get testing done with disability specilists
@flyawayreborns95 First of all the school system can be hard to fight but, by law they must provide you with the educational provisions you need (including testing). Don't take no from them. If you need to, do some research on the education laws in your state. People with IEPs know that you will battle to get what you need. The law however is on your side. Tell your parents you want to be tested. You are going to need their help with this issue especially if you are under 18. I wish I could help
@flyawayreborns95 more. This will require work on from your parents . If they are backing you then things can get done. I was lucky enough to have parents who backed me right from the start. They had me on an iep that lasted from 1st grade - highschool, letting me have the provisions I needed for math. Also, do not even for a moment think you are dumb. I have Dyscalculia and I graduated from a great College with a B.A and do intend to go back to college some day. We are different thats all.
@anmarcreations11 I'm a grown woman also living in Florida and dealing with dyscalculia. I have been searching for days and can't find help for my disability. We need to write to congress or something. There is no help out there for people like us!
