  • @SesakaBlargh MR. POLLI-OEZGUER SENDS A TRANSMISSION TEXT:

    - Yeah, a bit for me. But I usually don't like it 'cause the sound in my head gives me lectures about those VHS tapes! However this won't last long here. Every VHS tape that I edited will be a shrine that makes match for theirs, though! Mr. Polli-Oezguer always makes tests and researchs about these damn analog TV productions. So you have to watch my VHS videos, soon ...

  • What is it with my left ear enjoying nostalgia

  • "better quality," huh?

  • Who else here has been playing a VHS tape, one of the gears in the VCR jammed up and the tape snapped while it was still playing?

  • Too bad the transcribed captions aren't very funny :(

  • i had to play this in fullscreen on my flat screen to get the full effect

  • that tape has definitely seen better days ...

  • The girl and her mom look like Laura Palmer and her mom from Twin Peaks!

  • how do i get this kind of vhs?

tell me when you get a chance.

  • Just one of the predecessors to the YouTube Poop in all its glory. :D

  • That's what you get for a full colored, crystal quality VHS tape.

  • 0:59 HOLY SHIT IT'S SATAN! D:

  • 90's tv is so corny.

  • @Ramonise Unroll it A LOT then roll it back into the cassette.

  • 0:02 ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD!!! LOL

  • makes ya wanna go lol

  • Analog YouTube Poop at its finest =P.

  • roflcopter

  • If you listen carefully at 1:01, you can hear a tiny bit of cinderella.

  • Loollllll XD

  • @OBSysteme If at least a few seconds is still readable at the very very beginning it'll at least accept it. DVDs will show a scrambled picture if they have damage after the little bit at the beginning. If the machine can't find anything at the very very beginning, that's when the machine/computer rejects it and says "ERR"

  • Looks like interference from another station, either from another cable channel, or even off the air.

  • How did the tape mess up like this? moisture? handling?

  • 0:03 - OMG!1 The hypnotoad!!! 8-O

    lol

  • Thank you now I only have 7 days to live.

  • Wow! it is a Youtube Poop! Changes to other shows because you using a blank tape to record too messed up!

  • 3:06 Master Control Program speaks over the VCR : "Thwads just not gonna happen". End of line.

  • mi vhs tiene esa calidad cuando la señal esta mala y la calidad de el canal de tv es malo

  • also note that the slowdown only occurs when the two sync signals come into phase with each other.

  • Why on rewritten part, there is video sync signals floating (white cross)? Radio interference?

  • possibly repeated recording. to fix that i would recomend using a strong magnet on the tape. a magnet from a hard drive voice coil should work.

  • Ha! That's "Young and the Restless" because me and about my whole entire family watches that show. I watch it when I'm out of school. I love that show. By the way, that tape is pretty Eff-ed up! LOL! The announcer at 1:46 on that commercial sounds like he smoked too much crack! lmao!

  • Ir's better than any of my YTPs. No, seriously, it is.

    This case, Christine, requ

  • You can fix some sync issues using a time base corrector (but not tape damage itself)

  • did you tape over cindrella

  • is this stuff taped from the early 90s

  • You can find cheap VHS to USB cables on Ebay for about 20 bucks that can convert them to MP4 or WMV in decent quality

  • Better quality:

Use your MiniDV camcorder in VTR mode to record it. Then you can (if you want) keep the DV tape in storage for full quality and capture the DV footage using i.Link/IEEE1394/Firewire port and compress to DivX if you want.

Do not use WMV by all means! Use a format that is compatible with the rest of the world, like DivX/XVid/MPEG4 or H.264.

USB video grabbers often drop frames, as USB is shitty bus and most of drivers and software are poor quality.

  • Another hint:

If it is irreplaceable material, like childhood videos please do:

    - capture it to MiniDV tape and *keep* and store the MiniDV tape, they are cheap nowadays (each further compression on your PC reduces quality considerably)

    - keep the original analog tape in safe storage

(in case MiniDV tape has dropouts)

    - then capture MiniDV tape using Firewire to PC/Mac and recompress it to DivX/MPEG4

You can then in future always reencode to other formats from MiniDV master.

  • Or you can use a capture card or DVD recorder that can convert them the same quality as the tape.

  • good video. but this video me abit. my heart was thumping kind of fast.

  • Thassshshshs just not going to happen!

Werrrnsday at 8 erreven central on tn-TEH!

looked really funny when the colors messed up lol

I think what happened where the speed changed is that the tape had streched over time at those points

  • Well, then I'm guessing this stuff was recorded somewhere around early 1992, based on the only date we're given (THU FEB 06 appears on the Prevue guide channel, and in 1992, February 6th was on a Thursday.)

  • @molhal MR. POLLI-OEZGUER'S TRANSMISSION:

    - 1992? I've come here to research techs about VHS and I can win that 1992! No one can tell me what to do, I can do so! My family has become so loyal at my reputation and I can do so much (Praise Allah). What about some of your tapes? Are they damaged too? I wanna put those parts tracking error screens for you if you want. Can you review them to me please? I, Mr. Polli-Oezguer ...

  • weres mama luigi XD

  • I love VHS tape damage.

  • @Industro awwwwww hahaha

  • @Industro RECEIVING INCOMING TRANSMISSION FROM MR. POLLI-OEZGUER:

    - Hey, whaddaya sayin'!? I, Mr. Polli-Oezguer and I research techs about VHS to review all the essences of VHS soon. I have got much more technology and I can even record special graphics onto VHS tapes using my "The Secret MkII TV-Output Weapon"!

I usually hate VHS damage. But sometimes I'd liked to damage a VHS. I'll smash'em all soon an you'll see what I do as just as I bring order and justice to the entire VHS community! >:D

  • Long live DVD/Blu ray huh?

My god how old was that tape??? LOL!

  • and that's how youtube poops were born. i remember i used to make that on purpouse: record a channel, hit pause, change channel, hit rec, pause, change, rec, pause, swap audio sources, rec.. it was lots of fun... also dubbing over all them edited pieces was fun!

  • Yay, Prevue Guide!

  • Look at the beginning of the tape; isn't it weird how often you see small snippets of overtaped material?

  • i THINK IT IS AN JUST AN VERY VERY OLD TAPE.

  • and I was just feeling cinderalla too lol

  • He didn't screw with it, the VHS tape got damaged and it screwed with itself.

  • awesome

  • So how did this VHS came to be like this?

  • dude, how much was this recorded over?

usually, VHS tapes can only be recorded over about 50 times before you start seeing 2 things on screen at the same time, which is what you see at 1:10

  • only on tnN

  • It naturally became YTP.

  • "Where John's from, they put their pants on the same way we do"

you see, this is where I got the idea to make videos similar to this. (using the VCR to make YTPS)
