Nice try! These are not really examples of flip flops, though. They are different situations. For example, in the first stimulus statement Romney is referring to the initial bank bailout passed while Bush was still Prez. In the second stimulus statement, he's referring to the second "stimulus" passed by Obama and the Dems which was truly a waste of money.

Romney is our best shot at balancing the budget. He had a track record of doing so in the private sector, the non-profit sector (Olympics), and in government. He has a plan and has stated specifically what he would do if elected. This is in contrast to Obama, who campaigned on the ambiguous lines "Hope and change" without anyone knowing what he meant.

@lindsey1242 Obama's plan is pretty much eactly the same as Romney's plan. The man who helped Romney create it also worked with Obama. Romney's plan is a bit more liberal in that it doesn't limit abortion like Obama's does. Obama's plan is a combination of the proposed 1993 GOP plan and Romneycare. Quite a few of the GOP senators and representatives that 'oppose' the mandate were the ones who created it and supported it back in 1993 and pretty much up until Obama proposed his 'GOP' plan.

Unfortunately for those who want to say he's flip flopping, he's not with health care and bail out issues. He says that health care reform is necessary and then says he disagrees with obama's health care... That is not flip flopping. He says that a bail out is necessary and then says he disagrees with obama's bail out... also not flip flopping. Just because he thinks those things need to change doesn't mean he needs to agree with the changes that obama makes

I'm no Romney supporter however, on the health care issue, I think it's a valid point that there could be a health care system at a state level, but there shouldn't be one at a federal level. Whether you're for health care programs or not shouldn't matter as long as the plan only affects that particular state and it has nothing to do with you living in a different state. This doesn't really seem like a flip-flop issue.
