  • Awesome song!! Thanks for posting..i think i played it at least 10 times in a row!! lol!

  • so happy you liked this. found this record by accident almost. i love it. have since found out newday was originally the passions. the chi-town passions, and included el anthony who did some solo stuff in the 70's. i think it's a great song. thanks for taking the time to listen and comment.

  • listening again,it sounds as if the same musicians who play for dakar-brunswick might have played on this also. maybe because tom tom washington did arrangement work. i'm just about sure bernard reed is on bass on this but the others...it's a toss up between dozens of musicians.

  • fred, you're probably right. after vee-jay went down, cal carter didn't have the old house band, and some like lefty bates were probably getting up there. i do know he loved to use al duncan on drums every time he could. of course tom-tom had his own favorites too.

  • i knew bobby rush and the shades of brown were on on-top,but i've never heard of these guys before! this one is SOO ZESTY!! lol! i gotta find my own copy of this one. CHICAGO SHINING EACH AND EVERY TIME!!!

  • yeah, i just lucked into finding this. never heard of them myself, but really like it.
