If you owna hardware calibratable monitor form Eizo, Lacie, NEC than yes you can switch automatically because the profile is within the monitor itself, no adjustments are made on the front of the monitor. For a non hardware calibrated monitor you have to adjust brightness, contrast, and RGB on the front of the monitor for different calibrations so you would have to redo the profile...
This device will not calibrate an HDTV because you need it connected to a PC. If you owned an HTPC and had it connected to the HDTV by DVI or VGA then yes you use this same device and method.

So can you calibrate twice and toggle between the 2? Because I do a lot of editing for web viewing but also do printing.

hi, is the process the same as if you were doing a HDTV?
