The only worst movie i saw in theater was battlefield earth back in the late 90s.

I don't how bad this movie is, since I have no background knowledge in the series. However I grew up watching Dragon Ball Z and I immediately know that it will suck ass just by looking at the trailers. Goku is white emo kid, Master Yoshi has hair and wasn't lewd in the series as he was portrayed in the movie and the rest of cast was really terrible!

And what is with this wanting to sound Korean? The show is made in Korea, but the characters are so obviously NOT Korean. In fact I was watching the show and the only people who MAY be Korean are the people Zuko steals the Ostrich horse form in season 2. All the others are Chinese, Japanese, Native American/ Inuit, and the ONLY Indian character is the Guru! Why did he fricken cast Indian people as the fire nation!? They are so pale there is no way they are Indian!

Seriously I cant believe some of the stuff he did in this movie. As soon as they started mispronouncing names I had to turn it off. There has literally never been a movie I have EVER watch in my entire life that I felt PAINED to watch. Plus not only did he leave out the Kyoshi Warriors, he CUT them from the final cut of the film, cause they are in deleted scenes! WTF! The film is 1 hr 30 min and you cut out a five second addition with the Kyoshi warriors!??

I liked it. Noah Binger plays a very good Aang. I didn't think he was as playful as the character in the cartoon but that's mostly down to the Director's preference.

I'm a huge fan of the original series, but even as a standalone movie it failed on every level. In the interview he is talking about the depth of his movies. Well, there was NONE in TLA. Zero. I am just feeling sorry for the actors. Night Shyamalan should never focus on the after effects. Then he should be working more on the character development. The acting was horrible, because the script. The after effects were okay because he asked to George Lucas for help with after effects. The director is more talented on scary movies. This was not his area.

Plus The Last airbender movie was closer to the show than any other show turned into a movie or video game. I mean look at the Resident Evil movies. Their awful. The only thing that I think was bad was the overacting and the bad acting with Sokka and aang.

@MoviesintheMix Yes, it was. It was horrible. The part where the poor oppressed earthbenders were being held captive... in a quarry... The fact that Firebenders had to have fire to bend because he "thought it was unfair" that they could make their element. SINCE WHEN DO VILLAINS HAVE TO BE FAIR?!? On top of that, it was a joyless experiment in dialogue and exposition! You're right, Resident Evil should have been called something else, but this piece of tripe was no better.

Did you really think he was going to have enough time to explain why their being held on a boat and have enough time for katara and aang to come up with the plan to get them off? Its a movie. Alot of things are going to be dramatically changed or cut out completely. It was fair for Firebenders to have to have fire just like Waterbenders need water. It makes Sozen's comet much more important to the story that way.

@MoviesintheMix It would have been better to have them on a metal shipyard out in the ocean, or at least in metal cages up off of the ground. And if Firebenders need fire it makes Sozin's commet no more important than in the show, in fact, less so. How the hell does an earthbender loose to a firebender if the firebender needs fire. Open a pit under the fire, close it over. The earthbender wins. Face it, he butchered the story, butchered the main concepts. He Ruined Avatar: The Last Airbender

@gameambiance Do you not understand that it would have threw off the story? If he would have had them on a metal shipyard it would have been confusing to the people who havent seen the show. The stuff he did was obvious and sometime idiotic but he didnt ruin the entire movie just cause he didnt have them on metal boats. Plus the show had obvious moments as well. Sozen's comet does mean more to firebenders now. They can create fire and it makes their bending abilities easier. Making it important

IT WOULD HAVE BEEN PERFECTLY CLEAR THAT THEY WERE CAPTIVES OF THE FIRENATION! Do you not realize that Sozin's commet granted near godlike power to firebenders in the show? He dumbed it down and weakened the entire concept! He mutilated the concepts in the show! It worked just fine for the show!

@gameambiance lol. Did you not see the ships that they had. They were small. The ship that was going to hold a village of earthbenders had to be huge which is most likely out of their budget. You cant do everything get over it. Yes I watched the show and know what sozin's comet does. It just makes more since for Firebenders not to be able to make their own fire. I mean that makes you think if firebenders can make their own fire, how come earthbenders cant make their own rock from nothing?

@MoviesintheMix That's why they build sets! For a few thousand dollars and a couple of days work, they could have built a set very similar to the shipyard. They could have seen it from a distance with CG. As for Firebending "making sense," that settles it. You obviosly don't respect the creators or the source material any more than he did. They said firebenders make fire, that's good enough. Who cares about making sense in a fantasy world? Airbenders always have their element...

@gameambiance You want them to build a big ass set for like a 5 min scene? That is dumb. That wasnt even that big of a part in the show. It was a important but didnt need to be that big in the movie. It was fine the way it was. Saying I dont respect the creators is BS. I love what they did with the show and ive been watching it since 2005. Just cause I dont agree with you doesnt mean I dont respect them. I just dont mind what M Night did to the firebenders. No changing my mind there. Get over it

Imprisoning people who can perform powerful geokinesis in a quarry = not make sense. Same people not being able to snuff out a few small camp fires to defeat fire guys = not make sense. We never even started on the wooden acting, the terrible diaologe and the constant unnecessary exposition, but you're right. I won't change your mind

@gameambiance Yes. Putting them there didnt make sense. But it didnt make sense how the earth benders were taken there when they could have fought. There were only like 3 firebenders going around trying to find earthbenders in the show. 1 Earthbender could beat all of them easily. But the movie did make sense why they didnt earth bend. Cause if you remember like in the show their will was broken.

@MoviesintheMix Have you never seen the show? There were scores, if not hundreds of firebenders going around rounding up a handful of earthbenders here and a handful there. Not to mention the thousands of non-bender soldiers that were supporting them. Their will was broken because they were taken from their families and homes away from their element with no way to bend. I cannot accept they were in a quarry with 3 firebenders and felt so downtrodden that dozens of them didn't rise up.
