@drtune The "uh-oh" sample is actually from Ecstacy, Passion & Pain "Touch And Go", I've heard it used in a few things over the years, along with a lot of bits outta that acapella.
This track would lift people out of their respective comas (from whatever, I won't say) and get them on the dance floor. For me this is the track of 1993.
Ohh man I remember this in a afterhours club in Miami... called Paragons.... I use to "ROLL" with this shit.... The whole club would be on that dance floor... the upstairs and everywhere you look everybody was getting down with it!! THANKS FOR POSTING!!

...in the bar room of Ministry of Sound at about 2am when this was new (with the papier mache planets hanging down from the ceiling, remember? ) - miss those days
Same here bro, i.e. De karavaan "life's a beach and then dive" Marcello, Dimitri, Remy, Silver Surfer etc. , Muzik xpress always takes me back to those awesome parties...
@lemonproject ah how times have changed... I got this and the dust brothers "dust up beats" for 20 usd back in 94, junior boys own had some dope tunes.
this track pretty well sums up everything that was so good back in the day. I wish today's kids could do something different .. has there been any new music that generation can call there own .. white boys being rappers, rappers being stuck in their own discriminatory past, slappers being crap.. :)
Junior Vasquez would let us have it the wee hours of the morning with this hit!!!!.. No one and I mean no one would mix this song like Junior!!!!............
The first time i ever witnessed Junior at SF, he played this. The whole place went crazy! 1993, was an awesome year for house muzik, muzik, muzik, muzik... lol!
@housemixes yessss darling the kids would lose their minds when this came on. OMG I remember being high off of mesculine and standing on the speaker to the left of the stage going offffffff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@housemixes mate your one of the only people to mention release the pressure nights on here. cj used to smash the place up. not to mention ricky morrison and all the others. top night out, i went for 2 years solid, like a religion.
word up..the winter of 1993 was a killa at the sound factory...rockin till 1130 am...and i agree about the uproar this record created..i heard it first at caffiene out on the island!
@housemuziq ..at least 30 minutes. :D Plenty of time to hit the bathroom, grab a bottle of water, chit chat for a bit, and still make it to the dance floor before the initial build up... :D
Ahhhhh, memories of Pickering dropping this at the Hacienda, tore up the floor and sent the crowd nuts.. Set the breakdown blueprint for many tunes to come..
This track is the sole reason i got into house music. Just seen them drop this in brighton 12/04/08, 15 years on and this track still rocks the dance floor and sends shivers down my spine. A classic thats going to still sound great in 50 years time!!
