So, liberal policies of immigration have reached fruition. All the worlds conflicts are coming to our shores. Fuck that! We don't want the clerical cockfags. We don't fucking give a shit about their pluralistic doublespeak and fanaticism. President Hussein has won. Fuck Mohammed.
@rationalpower Well finally we can have an intellectual discussion on American television, which otherwise just caters to the lowest common denominator in society. NPR and PBS are so derided, but truly they were two of the last few bastions of intellectualism on TV.
@adi87tya I agree. Sometimes public broadcasting/radio consciously veer to the left in nauseating ways, but the level of discussion is way above commercial radio. Sean Hannity is actually one of the smarter ones out there and he's fairly crass.
No he is right, of course there are Muslim clerics against that, that's the thing with religion: you can have it as you see fit, interpret it in the way you want. That's why it is so important to call religious based violent ideologies by it's name. Islamofascism or Djihadism, otherwise we will not be able to cure it and do anything other than fighting some symptoms (like "terrorists" instead of "djihadists" or "domestic violence" instead of "islamic honour killing" etc.).
No, i meant to say that its desultory to issue fatwas against suicide bombers for 3 reasons. First of all, they are so illusive, one cannot distinguish them from casual civilians. Secondly, they are trained in remote areas where civilisation is nowhere to be found i.e. in mountaneous regions. And thirdly, issuing fatwas will not make a big difference, it will only engender more sectarian violence and it only replicates islamo-fascist ideologies.
Actually, i think military intervention may not be a bad idea. These talibani assholes are very ruthless and unrly and the innocent civilians have no means to fight them. You cannot negotiate with them !!!!
i agree!! hitchens always adds to any discussion imho. being one who primarily works weekends, i was only able to catch snippets of this discussion while it was on in my waiting room and i found myself lingering at the tv and just HAD to u/l it when i got home...fareed is under-rated. he always moderates a great discussion and does excellent interviews.
"Theological intimidation"?! 2:40
It is not the job of the US government to peddle one form of Islam or to support one economically over another. This is absurd.
"A different interpretation of jihad"?! 3:56-4:04

The term you guys are looking for is Haram.
You would declare suicide bombing as Haram. It means against islamic law, but like so against islamic law it's a ticket right to hell.
No real leader of islam has ever done this in arabic. and they never will, and that is why like it or not there will be no reconciling with Islam.
Religion does in fact poison everything.
