First off - I know that this may be a minority opinion - I really don't like hip-hop. Though I can understand that this is trying to connect with a wider audience, I just can't get into it. To be fair, I believe it'd be a good idea to split up the competition into multiple categories, ie. rock, hip-hop, country, and so forth.
Your ideas are just, and I firmly believe that you should succeed in your endeavors.
