  • 10 Minute Caricature? And rendering that clean too?? You're awesome.

1 questions though, did you put that first rough under the bottom intentionally as a guide??

  • Best Caricatures On the web visit

    Youknowitshere . net !

  • Dang that's really nice, what do you use to color it?

  • Can you give me tips how to draw caricature? :p

  • Great caricature, its pretty scary to take risks with that marker and you nailed it!

  • I don't think I could become a caricature artist. I am way too sensitive about offending others. You have to be pretty humble and have a sense of humour to have your caricature done. . unfortunately many people lack this.

  • Joe, You are the man when it comes to design. I am thinking about taking on a PT gig at Kaman's just for the summer. I am not a caricaturist but great at drawing portraits in pen & ink, Prismacolor Colored Pencils, and pencil. Keep up the good work!

  • Great

  • what marker do u use? i wanna be a caricaturist to someday.

  • Joe Bluhm is the Best!!!

  • this is one of my favorite drawings...

I want to be a caricature artist in sea world or something someday XD

...i been praticing, im getting better.. but ur a great inspiration =D

  • Y'know... I used to have a job at Ontario Place doing this... and the one frustrating thing, is that parents FREAK on you if you over exaggerate features on their kids - like the teeth on this one. I've had some SCREAM at me for apparently 'insulting' their kids...

  • Death to Ontario Place, Death to The EX, Death to The Dufferin bus. >:|

  • I heartily agree!

    :)

  • Yeah, I've had bad situations like this myself. I've had three girls end up crying on me. I've had guys that just went ballistic over catching their ACTUAL look in the moment. I've had people actually claim the sketch was TOO accurate and walk over to the rookie beside me that can't even draw a stick figure on the page straight, let alone an actual breathing human face. Mind you, some of these rejects were already toned down portrait caricatures.

  • @kaijuman It's because for most parents, it's all about their kids getting a nice, educational, fun experience with art. It's got nothing to do with actually getting a caricature, it's not even about getting good art most of the time, it's about getting that experience with being up in a chair with an artist on the other end. Doing anything that goes beyond that brings about a bunch of sputtering and hissing before the eventual "We don't like it." It's why most people "stamp" 'em instead.

  • the music resembles porn music

  • great!

  • what kind of marker is that??? and where did you get it from???

  • I worked for Kaman's Art..their using bullet tip markers.

  • Invigorating watching you work, Joe. Facsinating how you do all your serious exxagerating in that 20 second scribble, then you can go in and fine tune and devote your attention to detail with that template underneath. It's like you're 2 artists in 1!

Hope to finally have you draw me in Reno~
