Well praying helps, thats true (who believe in it at least), but there is one but... Its helps only for that one person (mentally), for your family or other people its not your prayer who will help in diaster, its your rational actions which you take.No amount of praying will help starving/hurt child ir other human being, and if you hadnt stocked enough food/medicine you can pray as much as you want, result will be the same, and you know what that result is.
