I'd say that the heavy Rock that Tool plays was influenced more by Sabbath and Priest than Zep, Zep I'd say influenced more the classic Rock bands that the heavy bands.

Tool and Zeps version are both really good... They are both kinda similar bands when you think about it, killer vocalists, guitarists (personally i think danny carrey and justin chancellor are better at their respective parts.

Both versions probably evoke the same emotions in different types of people. Personally Tools owns Zeps, but they came up with the riffs so fucking mega cred to them.

Zep and Tool fans should unite to blow up MTV studios in my opinion.
