how about having a forward press trigger movement like ricky ponting? you basically just have your front foot just up in the air, so when u read the line of the ball you can plant it in and play ur shot...if the ball is short then u pound ur front foot down and push ur weight back and play of the back foot. ponting has played this way and averaged 75 between 2002-2009 batting at no3 in test cricket.
Cricket is being made far too complicated by people looking for an overall solution. The single most important part of batting is comfort, the second is the position of the head and eyes, and the third is the balance. A solid stable platform is the most important part of any shot, the stimuli is received more effectively if the eyes and body are still and balanced. a trigger movement isn't the best technique for everyone. (Minor County & Premier League opening batsman/wicketkeeper).
i am a lefty bat..and i tried..to play inswing on the front foot..almost to make it a full-toss foolishly..saw my stumps flying..my fear of playing swing late is that it be too quick for my defence...and if the bounce is bad..it may keep low..and get me l.b.w.. please advise..if i play inswing late..and im covering the stumps..how do i avoid l.b.w? hope i dont sound silly..

Interesting points, but never forget that n=1 is not a viable sample.
