This is formal Scottish Country Dance. It bears about as much resemble to authentic Ceildh dancing as competion Ballroom Cha Cha does to night club Salsa.

No kidding... I am attending a Ceilidh this Friday and am working on dancing 'The Shepards Crook'  - a combination highland and scottish country dance with one man and two women.

Just love Scottish Country Dancing brings back lovely memories of all the auld dances we were taught coming through Public School in Saltcoats. Our teachers were the best

Poor tone on the music, both fiddle and accordion, compared to other videos using same headphones.

There seems little lift in both the music and dancers responses.

My only other comment is how BLACK all the clothing appears. When I was younger it seemed very white - I guess that's fashion and changing with the times!

I wonder what my PE teacher, Jock Ireland would have said!
