  • Oh she Is such a beautifull dancer! I wanna be like her when im older. Shes great.

  • I love her. great ballerina

  • im a dancer and this just encorages me to do better:)

  • 5: 33 aaaw

  • shes such a beautiful dancer.

i love that shes thin without seeming anorexic and sickly... she looks like a very healthy dancer <3

  • she's such a beautiful dancer and you can just see how dancing makes her happy, really interesting, thanks for sharing!

  • SHE IS SO CUUUTE!!!!!!!!

  • wow they really are super skinny

  • i have no idea about this... but the world i come from shows its best to learn new things

  • shes so beautiful.

i used to do ballet but now, ive stopped. not my thing.

but ballet is so graceful, and elegant and i love watching it.

  • I went to watch sleeping beauty last night and in my opinion she was better than Marianela Nunez (Aurora). She played princess florine with the bluebird and she looked completely effortless and every move was precise. Beautiful and graceful girl!

  • @cheesymaccymoomoo

    I totally agree :-)

I saw Yuhui Choe as Black Swan and she was FANTASTIC .

I look forward to see her again.

  • Wonderful video! Thank you for sharing!

  • LOVE her laugh it's so cute. She is a really strong dancer look her up!

  • it is super importnant to warm up . I just got pretty badly injured beacause i did a split without warming up and now its been almost 2 weeks and it stil hurts ALOT: :(

  • but seriously. So she's got warm up, and she gets a bit sweaty. Then she's got rehersal, and she gets a little more sweaty. Then she has another rehersal, and THEN she feels a little tired. wow

  • missZumba100:im really curvy, but im still taking lessons. Im hoping that with band practice-yes, marching band is almost as intense as being a professional ballerina- and ballet and P.E. at school I'll get thinnner by christmas so I'll have a better shot at getting into the Nutcracker Ballet.

  • I still wish I could be a ballerina! :( But unfortunatly, I'm too curvy! lol

  • she is so amazing

  • Yuhui is so sweet, she is such a polite girl

  • she looks so different after her makeup

  • i love her posture! she's a great dancer. she's so beautiful too. :)

  • you inspire me a lot :) thank u!

  • I love ballet.

  • I have the utmost respect for ballet dancers, they are really artists!

  • @lumalumaday no, she WARMED UP in socks

  • O, her feet! They're all red and thick. A friend of mine is also a ballet dancer, so I know that pointes hurt, but hers look bad...

  • I like her line collar and link neck too! What do you called them? :| I want to have a line thing!!! :D Does anyone knows?

Your studios are really beautiful and lovely room!

  • @prettygabby you mean the bones on your chest? hollywood rack its called :) and yer I agree with you I think its beautiful

  • @fucktheraveimmoshin Thanks a lot! :) Thanks for replying! THANK YOU! :D :-bd

  • The studios are very beautiful! I would feel honored to dance in there haha :)

  • Wait, she practised in SOCKS?!!!

  • eat well, sleep well. Be healthy.

    my new motive

  • Goodness, I wish I had her posture!

  • Can anyone tell me the name of the Song at 3:37

  • @genay33 its Grand Pas from the Nutcracker. You could find it on iTunes. It's about 5.5 minutes long. Hope this helps!

  • @Hannackk Thank you sooooooo much. I love that song. It's inspiring me to dance with my veil. thanks again. :-)

  • @Hannackk thank you soooo much. I continue to listen to it over and over again. Classical music is so much better than what I hear on the radio now. So peaceful.

  • Lovely dancer but as a whole I found this video highly unsatisfactory. If you are doing a day in the life of a ballerina, 1) Get permission to go to all the rehearsals, classes and the actual performance. Lots of slamming doors in this video. 2) IDENTIFY her partners please 3) Show some of the rehearsal process. Who is coaching her? What are their comments. Don't just slam music over random clips.

  • Oh my god she is beautiful!

  • Amazing...I had always known that any dancer, stage performer, etc., had a lot of hard work to accomplish, but I really never realized just how HARD it really is...I so appreciate their efforts and will always remember this video when I watch an performer in the future...thanks for posting and sharing! :-)

  • I just started dancing and I'm 17. Is that too young to become a professional ballerina? I have a lot of determination and strive to accomplish my goal. In any case, thought I'd just ask the question.

  • Que preciosa es!!! =')

Es PERFECTA!!!! Te quiero Yuhui (LLL) ^^

  • im a dancer, and this is my dream

    ps, 5:33 aaw

  • What a beautiful dancer.... you can tell it's coming from the heart

  • my body aches just watching this. makes me feel lazy for not even getting up to run in the morning T__T

  • Sooo when does she eat?

  • Ballet is by far the most rewarding and challenging art form bar none! You can tell a good dancer when they make it look soo easy you start to think you can do it! lol

  • i wanna do this on professional level and that's what i really love and really wanna do! ballet is the real love of my life! but i started with 16 and i'm ways too fat for being a professional ballerina..such a shame!

  • @UnaaMunaa Actually, nowadays, the ballet world has been changed. It really isn't about your weight, or your height, but more about your level of dancing. True, some companies can be picky, but if you have drive, you'll find a fit somewhere. Besides, ballet is really slimming work anyways, so even if you believe (key word- believe) you're too fat now, in a few months you could, and most likely will, slim down. No need to be frustrated.

  • @LittleGrimalkin oh, thank you for your kind words! that's very encouraging!

  • @UnaaMunaa You're welcome. :) Don't worry, if you really want it, you'll do fantastic.

  • Ballerinas would make excellent Ninjas....in white...

  • She's so adorable! I remember seeing her at the PdL and I'm she deserves to be at the Royal Ballet. I'm a flamenco dancer and sometimes I have crazy long days like that. My last one was- teach at the studio from 9AM - noon. Rehearsal from 1PM - 4:30. Be at the restaurant (it was a dinner show) at 6:30PM, then showtime at 8! Thankfully it's only once or twice a month (and sometimes none!) and it's a looong day but I LOVE IT!

  • i see these little "day in the life of a ballet dancer" and i just KNOW that i'm meant to do that. my potential ballet career is on hold- i have one more year of academic college to finish up. i'm afraid i'll be too old to audition for companies by the time i graduate. it saddens me, because every day i feel like i should belong in a ballet studio, and on stage rather than sitting in psychology, anatomy and political science classes :(

  • @NinjaTree6 I know how you feel. I'm turning 18 this year and I feel I've missed my chance. I noticed after my ballet class one day that there were auditions for a dance school but it was for ages 10-17. :(

  • She seemed almost...sad? by the end of the video.

  • It sounds like she's saying Belly Dancer.

  • I wish I could be a ballerina....or a princess. :)

  • I started ballet this year and I'm about to start high school. The school I'm going to gives tons of opportunities to perform thankfully. I really hope I can have a professional career like this

  • WOW

  • i was colinbine in my nutcraker

  • What's sexier than a ballerina? An Asian ballerina!!!

  • I really want to be in this company or nycb when I grow up! I'm only twelve and I got into the student company at my dance studio!!

  • @4everhogwarts I wish you all the very best and hope you make it. Just remember not to overtrain while still growing and get plenty of rest and a sensible diet. The next few years will make great demands on you so stay fit. LOL

  • Is there a Fonteyn studio in the Royal Ballet School Lower School as well as the one seen here?

  • This kind of makes me sad because I know this will never happen to me...I have tiny legs, otherwise the right body for ballet...but I am almost overweight and have tiny legs,I wish to be a ballet dancer but I have no opportunities..teachers won't even send me to the most regional competitions..I don't know what to do anymore.

  • @KLOKLOKLO456

Don`t worry. Same things are happening to me. So I decided that if we just have to work harder then everyone else. We may not get into a large company, but maybe a small one. Work at your dancing, and the if you`re not already in high school, apply to a Preforming Arts High School, this will give you lots of opportunities to preform in front of important people. Then maybe you could even be a teacher at one of these high schools later on in life.

  • She looks really adorable :)

  • She is so gracious and she dances beautifully. Lovely the way this video has been made. It just gives me the inspiration to dance all day long.

  • 응원합니다^^ 화이팅 !!

  • I love her bag! :)

  • 5:35 THE CUTEST THING EVER!!!!!!!!!!

  • @iheartmyiphone the role that she plays in the intro probably requires a ponytail for the hair not a bun.

  • She's so lovely to watch! :)

  • Could anybody tell me what's the name of the track at the very beginning? It sounds so familiar but I can't think of its title...

  • @PancakeTutu Its the music for Giselle (Act II) :)

  • @Cachou97 Thank you very much!!!

  • Ohhh ok thanks

  • So she was getting her hair done and then she comes out with a ponytail. I dont get it

  • @Iheartmyiphone if you listened, she said she had INFRA to do which is a contemporary piece by McGregor and that is the style of hair for that piece.

  • she is so cute!!!:D i went 2 see her in giselle she was the wilie queens assistant utterly beaytiful!

  • she really seems to be a doll when she dances. i love her, she's so cute!

  • i love how she has a british sounding accent :D shes amazing!

  • i love the royal ballet and Yuhui Choe is one of my favorite ballet dancers there among others.... she i wonderful and graceful. I think it's so funny how she says nutcracker.

  • 3:38-3:41 this is my favorite choreography of this dance. i've seen the Nutcracker about 3 times and i think some choreography have differed from others. i love how passion it looks when she bends backward like that.

  • i love how she says Nutcracker. she's beautiful. ballet is beautiful. it looks like you can express so much.

  • I just LOOOOVE Royal Ballet ballerinas. There is something about them that stands out and gets my attention.

  • i love how she says oakastra and pheesio theripist its so cute !

  • Ok I do agree with you about ballet being everyone's dream well it is my dream and ballet does get u tired I love this video too btw I was in the nutcracker too:)

  • can i just be her?

  • THUMBS UP FOR ASIAN POWER. (: X

  • She's lovely.

  • hi!!!! I am a dancer in India working in a dance company based in India . We are looking for ballet and contemporary teachers who would be interested in coming to India for 3-4 months and teaching us. We have had previous training by London and American trainers. We are also willing to work out a cultural exchange programme with you where you could learn an Indian classical style of your choice

  • @emmsteemmastewart

I didnt mean to put heavy brittish accent, but she does have an accent sooo...

  • @dimplz1151

    Ok im just saying, im

Not an idiot.. I kinda relize it is 2010

And i think its just cute, so calm down, pop a pill of something..

  • when does she eat

  • @babycee303 Well I know my schedule is very similar to hers; get up early, go to all day rehearsal, I don't have performances at night though, but I still don't get home 'till very late. So (sometimes) I eat in the morning before I leave and at night when I get home! :)

  • @babycee303 She had that 5 hour time gap between rehearsal/physio and the show that night. Cut an hour out for her re-warmup, she still had plenty of time to have dinner before the show.

  • @DreamsofCentaurs

First of all, there's no such thing as being double-jointed. It's called being hyper-extended. For a ballerina, it makes your line look pretty, but you have to work twice as hard.

  • @kygao98 it really pulls your weight back which can be a pain

  • It's very frustrating when people underestimate ballet and its dancers. It is very hard and painful work, but they still unfailingly make it look effortless! Yuhui is a perfect example of what a real ballerina really is.

  • @danceballet123 I took ballet lessons just to help me with my very bad posture. I was terrible but I did learn to stand up straight. My legs and body are all wrong for ballet but I think it taught me something about discipline and how you sometimes have to struggle in life to do something. I was amazed at how a simple move could take hours to learn and I never got beyond basic beginner. I think ballet dancing is the hardest form of dancing around.

  • @danceballet123 You're so right!

  • ok, she's korean but was raised in japan and has a freaking british accent?!

  • since I was 9 ...I wanted also to be a dancer, but I came to Germany and Germany said you have to learn, to work hard in the school and dancing is not the real life...and now?

  • I love how she is asian but has a heavy brittish accsent lol she snaces beautifully, and is awesome at the lead role for nutcracker(:

  • @bbygirland1... it's 2010...is it really that surprising to see an Asian woman with a british accent, or any accent for that matter?

  • @dimplz1151 She doesn't have a British accent. British-influenced perhaps, so I can understand why she might sound British to a non-Briton, but to me as an Englishman, she sounds East Asian.

  • @bbygirland1 it's a very mixed accent with a bit of british in it, but it's far from a heavy british accent!!

  • i love the way she dances the doll :3

  • I remember my time in the Royal Ballet. Up at 5 to train in your own place, get a tube to opera house and train all day. Dance all night.

  • two people must not have eyes or ears....because that is definately thumbs up worthy!!!!

  • you see the bruises on her legs!? wow... :( I have allways been double jointed I bet thats a bad tings for a ballerina

  • Oh, complete British accent!

  • She seems lovely.

  • She is lovely!

And the studios are absolutely beautiful!

  • That was so cool to watch. Thank you for taking the time to post this :))))

  • i wish i would be as talented as she is :/

  • I like this very much. What would have made this better is showing what the ballerina eats throughout the day to keep up her strength. A cup of coffee does not make for a good diet and gives the wrong impression.

  • it's this sort of video that makes me feel inspired to become a ballerina.

even though i know it probably won't happen (:

she's an amazing and talented dancer.

    love it :D

  • @TOMKIV I train for 5 hours or so a day. sometimes more when their are rehearsals. SO yes it is hard and I am only 14 just barely

  • i watched her in a production of giselle and she had incredible stage presence, stole the show in my opinion

  • The 2 People Who Disliked This Are Obviously Ignorant Of How Much Strength It Takes To Become A Ballerina...

Either That Or They Are Stupid ;p

  • she is soo pretty and so nice!! One of the prettiest ballerinas ive seen :))

  • she's so nice!!!

  • She is very pretty though her eyes are very expressive when she dances.

  • she has such a cute british accent

  • I want a day in the life of a ballerina!

  • this is amazing

  • how do people think ballet isnt hard work?

  • very pretty!!

  • i didnt know the nutcracker had robots in the play lol

  • @hvguy Not robots, they're playing mannequins, or dolls. In this production they play the dolls, Pierrot and Columbine, European fairty tale characters.

  • @OMGPWNTATOECHIPZ omg so im not the only one who noticed that!! hold crap doesnt she?!?! creepy 0.0

  • I think the best part was between 0:01 and 7:56

  • omd (oh my days)

i might be doing dat too when im older

    hehehe cant wait

    lol

  • She is pretty and love her dance! I've been fan of her since i saw her (on the TV )danceing in the Prix de Lausanne.

  • she is very very pretty!

  • i so much want this!

  • She sounds like salad fingers :/

  • now they have to do...life in the day of a GUYYYY

    lloll

    =P

  • your life is vary difficult, but beautifull at the same time :)

  • Jeez, she does a lot of rehearsals! It's quite amazing xx

  • this is amazing...

  • I wish my days were like that. haha.

  • somehow, she reminds me of Kevjumba... :o

  • Royal Ballet is my dream :) !

  • Awh shes so pretty and really seems to enjoy what she is doing and tbh i dont blame her i love ballet!! lol (: ♥

  • how much do they make a month?

  • her accent is cute! I love the way she talks :-)

  • 최유희! so sweet❤ฺ

  • Omg, She is beautiful. Does anyone know if you have to train at the Royal Ballet School to join the Royal Ballet? I know that you have to train at the American Ballet school to join NYCB, so i was wondering if it was the same for the Royal Ballet, or if you could be from another company. Its my dream to join but im american

  • @balletbabe522 -No. Of course I think you have more chances if you've been specifically prepared by that school, but overall I don't think they themselves care. It depends on your skill and talent. E.g. to get in Moscow conservatory you don't HAVE to go to a school which operates with it, although its better if you do. Chase your dream!!! :-)))))

  • Comment removed

  • @balletbabe522 Sarah Lamb who is a principal with Royal grew up and trained in Boston then joined the Royal after becoming principal with Boston ballet

  • @balletbabe522 When it comes to young dancers joining the company they often look firstly at what RBS has to offer them, but you don't HAVE to go to RBS to get into RB. They, as Snezhinka9 said, don't really care, as long as they see something in you. Sarah Lamb and Alexandra Ansanelli are American, and so are Deirdre Chapman and Eric Underwood. And, as Snezhinka also said, go ahead, chase you dream! :)

  • i am 11 years old and i practice ballett and i am in 4 hours a day

  • does she ever go home???????

  • She's a beautiful dancer!

  • She has been taught beautfully'') She is amazing!

    Good Luck Yuhui :]

  • It's great for the public to get a reminder of just how much hard work goes into the ballets that they pay handsomely to see; it may help take away some of the sting whilst forking over money for tickets. NYCB should do the same on their site, as they have the most insane work schedule of any company in the world.

  • @kdub10009 idk abt's pretty intense too ive heard..and u also have a company like the kirov..ive heard they are NUTS with their schedules

  • She is a really good dancer!!!!!!

    she is my favorite dancer

I want to be like her!!!!!!!

  • She's hot.

  • I am so jealous!! O:

  • un lavoro pazzesco davvero

  • love this video and I think she seems so nice! (but am i the only one who noticed that they never show her eating?)

  • hmm well maybe thats true. but personally i wouldn't want a camera filming me eating haha
