The word Olah was used both when referring to Romanians as well as Italians, which shows that the Romanians were very similar to Italians in terms of language, and that the Magyar tribes had encountered both ethnic groups at roughly the same time, in the late 9th and early 10th century, when the Magyars raided Northern Italy. The word Olasz now used for all Latinate people except Romanians is a recent phenomenon.

"romanian" language, aha. 8O% of it's vocabulary is slavic in origin. The first "romanian" written document dates back only to the 16th. century and it was written by using the cyrillic alphabet. This is hillarious buddy! By the way the first Hungarian written document dates back to the 12th. century and it was written of course in Hungarian!!!
