It's a remake of Monkey: Journey to the West which was a popular show back in the day. It's basically the story of Sun Wu Kong the Monkey King or in Japanese he's known as Son Goku. In this video it's the tale where he arrives at Volcano City to fight Princess Iron Fan so he can exstinguish the volcano blocking the way to paradise or something like that. :)

The show was based on a centuries old Chinese book. They were inspired by the show, but really it's the old book that they're writing an opera for. Monkey Bee is a song from the opera they decided to make a music video for it

Well yeah I knew it was from the old story and they made a t.v. show out of it and Jamie Hewlett was inspired by it so he decided to do a remake lol. :) But I got this part of the story down right? I may be off a bit. But like I said Sun Wu Kong was trying to acquire the fan from the Princess to extinguish the volcano blocking the way to paradise.
