  • That Western was a right smoky bugger: Nearly as smoky as a Russian Diesel!

  • clip of 7017 leaving Crowcombe is superb

  • Thanks for posting this video! I attached a video with a romanian locomotive, called LDH45 with a power of 330 kW delivered by a Maybach diesel unit, MB 836 Bb. Keep them coming!! (the good videos)

  • Nice to see the Hymek running once more. Also pleased to see that D832 now seems to be running properly.

  • beautiful sound and good quality- I had the volume turned up (maybe a little too loud!)

  • Once again Mr Skinner an absolute Gem of a video. Pure music to my ears and I enjoyed every single minute of it...Thanks.....5* Bob

  • Thank you once again Bob, maybach engines are great to hear and thrash away!

  • Wonderful Ryan! Gorgeous engine sounds and some cracking shots. The Hymek is looking and sounding magnificent after the overhaul. Interesting headcode choices.. 1V46 Manchester-Paignton XC service!

  • The Hymek was really fun to film, love its maybach thrashes! The headcodes is very interesting, I didn't really take much notice of them, I didn't think Hymeks did crosscountry services from Manchester to the West Country, did they?

  • As far as I know, non worked Cross-Country services. But I must admit, I'm not full of knowledge from that era.

  • Great sights & sounds;thanks for sharing them with us. Had a stirring day there on the saturday behind these locos. Well done King Roger Smith for giving '62 notch 7 at every possible occasion! Tornado seemed very feeble in such raucous & esteemed company!

    Thanks again

  • Wish i could have gone there, LOVE though Maybachs...........

    Excellent video again!!

  • maybe now we might see double headed westerns on the mainlnie :) nice video and 5 stars plus a fave

  • I don't usually like Diesels, but those were some great shots! How did you get so close to the track? Another fantastic video. Well done. :)

  • I have a linesiders pass, which allows me to go onto the lineside and areas that are restricted to the public.

  • Sounds great. How much do they cost or do you have to be invited. I must say again what a great video!

  • Brilliant video 5*

  • Great vid. I think The western in the first shot thought she was a steam train :) lovely clag

  • Ahh yeah it does look like a steamer with that white clag, pretty effective though :D
