@DianaDeLuna Yea, she opened with a pike and full-in and closed with a tucked full-in in 84. She may have even done it at the 83 Worlds, as well. Not sure, would have to verify it.
@Tribute2the80s I just did, and you're right. :o) At the '83 Worlds, Szabo performed a piked full-in mount and a tucked full-in dismount, just as in '84.
This routine could have been used to medal at the 1992 Olympics nine years later (maybe with a few changes in dance elements). Even though her tumbling never was this good again, Boriana made it to the 1988 Olympics, so congratulations to her for competing for so long.
Unfortunately her tumbling never got back up to this level after the '83 Worlds. I think it was a combination of a growth spurt and back problems. Although she wasn't the most graceful gymnast she had her own unique style and a lot of class and consequently was always one of my favorites from the period.
I thought Szabo did a tuck full in to immediate flic mount and full in dismount in '83 . I don't remember her doing the pike full in till '84

Freakin' WOW. Such easy full-ins. I thought the first gymnasts to dismount FX with full-ins didn't happen till 1985.

@DianaDeLuna Szabo did that at the 84 Olympics.

@Tribute2the80s Well, crud, you're right. Duh. Szabo did it piked too, didn't she? I haven't seen her '84 FX in years and now I'm off to find it.
