AWESOME! I heard a Gabriel styled guy do a version of Ripples. Made me wonder had Gabriel done the album had he not left? Or him and Phil mix and matching!? I fantasize of this from time to time. :-)
Is that really a vocal mellotron the keyboardist is playing at the end (just like in the Genesis original)? If not, the synth sampling is quite good there - sounds extremely close to the original IMO...
I'm usually qute picky when it comes to the cross-over of Gabriel-style tribs doing Collins material, but somehow this works. A great, surreal, intro and a delightful performance (the word 'cover' is too often used these days)
OK! This is my favorite song of all time! To me Nothing can compare with Genisis' "Entangled". I can pick it apart. ..but in the end, I must say this entertained me. Yes, you had the Gabriel guy, not unheard of in a Genesis cover band. But my overall impression was they did great. There's a lot of young people who don't even know that Genisis had a different, progressive sound before 1978. After hearing that, and if I were young, I'd buy the early albums. That makes it all right by me.
Unfortunately, this version of the band has parted ways. :(
What an excellent group they were together. They had done many shows since this one and just got better and better. Both sides are working on putting together their new bands. We'll see what transpires.
The mix wasn't great but the song was well done. Anything by Genesis before Hackett left is simply sublime. Oddly enough most of the 12-string stuff was written between Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks. But I still love Steve's playing.

Band is quite ok - but why don't they give a shit about how they dress - i call this self indulgent - being a genesis tribute band and just with jeans and t-shirt - thats just not enough
You are correct. They had just done I know what I like. This band is fabulous. If you'd like to see their version of I know what I like, it is also listed under this user.
this group is very good, interesting intro story, nice version of entangled, but its strange the singer is in Gabreil garb while singing collins songs, strange, but overall very nicely done.

This is one of my favorite songs and hearing 'Gabriels' yake on it is highly enjoyable.

This begs the question.... what if Peter hadn't left? Something worth thinking about.

it's an Arp Pro Soloist sampled onto a Fantom X7. I know because I programmed the sounds on that keyboard

Beautiful sound. I love the end of this song.

Nice attempt at a very difficult tune to pull off... especially live where you only have one shot at it.

attention to detail isn't there...and 'gabriel' singing the song...? nice harmonies though - not easy to pull off...
perhaps they should try 'in the air tonight'

why he try to seems like Peter if Entangled is from A trick of the Tail and PG has left the band the year before? a cold and without emotion cover...

Good performance, but the spoken intro sounds like one of those bad poems on a Moody Blues record.
jhillst 2 years ago
Hey, those Moody Blues poems are amazing. Cold hearted orb rules the night, taking colors from our sight, lol. It is creative and fits the music well.
This guy sounds alot like Gabriel....

I met the drummer after a TMB (Lamb?)show a few years ago. I was hoping to catch them at a show but I believe it was cancelled.
This is a real treat to see! Thanks for posting it. I'll look for more and keep an eye out for future shows.
