  • @houseshoesbto you say that dave on "Decade of agression" played bad . I'm thinking that you on your heavy fucking thrash metal band , on your 666+ concert always played your fucking badass double-bass fills with no mistakes and etc. Everybody may have bad gig . And Dave with age of 47 (Dave>ak47 ? :D) is still using double bass like nobody . Full respect to him .

  • 04:58 fuck yeah \m/

  • SHUT UP AND ENJOY THE MUSIC !!

  • My reaction to the transition: I see what you did there B)

  • fuhh....if thats what hell is like then i wanna go

  • I was at this show... Best. Show. Ever. Blown way.

  • Great memories of an awesome night!

  • Man Araya is amazing here!

  • This is cool, but whoever is holding the camera does a lousy job of filming Jeff and Kerrys soloing, as well as Tom's trademark scream at the beginning. Whatever, it's still cool.

  • Wish I could have gone to this... except i had the handicap of not being born yet... fuck

  • lol araya still played with his firngers

  • These songs make young boys want to have circumcisions at one point in their lives...I should know. ;)

  • I wish I could've seen this tour, but I didn't know about SLAYER til 87 or 89.

  • Let's just clear everything up for everyone who doesn't get it...Dave Lombardo IS the JOHN BONHAM, BILL WARD, NEIL PERT of metal, of mine, and THIS generation!!!!! ask any of those death metal drummers that can maybe even go faster than Dave, and they'll tell you that it all started for them when they first heard SLAYER. Dave is still more powerful and plays his drums traditionally high and not below his knees like these extreme metal guys who do it just so they can go faster!!!! PEACE.

  • i was there love it forever

  • i was there

  • Scariest show i've ever been to was Slayer(with opening act DANZIG) at the Felt Forum in N.Y.C. It's was crazy. It even got a write up in Metal Edge that mentioned it being such an insane crowd.

  • holy shit

  • holy fuck. that ending is fucking... fuck.

  • I would have fucking KILLED to have gone to a show like this.

    FUCK being born late.

  • this is fucking insane. i cant believe i never saw this. just saw slayer live. still amamzing

  • I was at the show-incredible

  • Dave Lombardo is fucking God!

  • hehe....they look sooo young!

  • ahhhh i could feel my ears bleeding already

  • Lombardo Left Slayer in November of 86'. If this is after that it's Scaglione. If not, Then it's Lombardo. This is a quote from Slayers wiki.

"In October 1986, Slayer embarked on the Reign in Pain world tour, with Overkill in the US, and Malice in Europe. The band was added as the opening act on W.A.S.P.'s US tour, but just one month in, drummer Lombardo left the band: "I wasn't making any money".

There you go. Just get the date of the show and you will know who it is.

  • lo mejor combinacion :D

  • EVERYONE THE DRUMMER IS Tony Scagilone from the band whiplash... he filled in for dave when Dave wasn't getting enough money and left slayer. Tony was great a played the songs to a better degree than Dave in my opinion, if you want some evidence look up their decade of aggression and dave is quite sloppy with his "double Bass" skills

  • @houseshoesbto You don't have a very good ear if you think TJ had kick like that. Only Lombardo could kick that ferociously at that time and probably even today.. In an answer to your question I can tell you that the drummer in this video is 100% without any doubt Dave Lombardo

  • @evilaggression dude i can't even find really any live concert material with Tony Scagilone in whiplash but dave left right after the recording of reign in blood but hey i just think it could be someone else dave couldn't play as fierce live as he could on the records just listen to his bass drumming on decade of aggression. Not trying to stur up an agrument cause i give much props for putting this classic footage of one the best live bands along with all ur other live concert clips

  • @houseshoesbto Theres a couple of vids with TJ, Scaglione in it and they were from 1987. Most, if not all of the shows from 86 featured Dave Lombardo. Don't get me wrong, I was a fan of Whiplash, and TJ did a great job of filling in for Dave, but he wasn't able to do some of the double bass parts, such as the end of Angel of death. I saw a live Slayer show in 87 with TJ at Lamour in Brooklyn and that was one of the best shows I've ever seen.

  • @evilaggression wow dude very badass i'm 17 tomorrow so i would have no idea about this btw i only suspected it because many users on youtube thought i was right about the dave stuff but hey whoever it is they're actually doing very good, actually like dead on to the recording once again thanks for the vids and i've only heard stories about that play being in N.J. and watching get thrashed a shit ton of times

  • @evilaggression man you fuckin rock 4 uploadin this shit

  • @houseshoesbto I've seen Slayer twice, his double bass skills were fucking phenomenal. During Angel of Death, with the bass drum solo, he does it like 5 times longer than the album, at that speed.

  • @DasWehrmacht666 yes same with many friends one has seen them like 6 times but thats beside the point maybe thats all that dude does is pratice his double bass. just look at the rest of his playing... sloppy 16th note triplets variations along the toms and snare has no skill besides the double bass shit and don't say thats because he's in slayer paul bostaph was and he rapes the fuck outta gayve lombardo and he can be a diverse drummer so this goes to everyone GAYVE LOMBARDO SUCKS!!!!!!!!!

  • @houseshoesbto Gayve Lombardo? What are you 12? Dave isn't sloppy. He's a lot better than you will ever be.

  • @DasWehrmacht666 nope he actually blows if you mean i'll never be as sloppy as him then yea thats the truth but when you actually learn other genres of music you'll see how much of a troll dave lombardo is at drums even his drum tone is terrible and sounds like wet cardboard. his bassdrum skills are fantastic but its just double bass its nothing super special because all it is really fast 16th note RLRL etc bass drum patterns and 4 slayer albums are the same fucking beat fact is he sucks dick

  • @houseshoesbto I don't see how that can be Tony Scagilone. For instance, Lombardo is know for getting most of his fills DEAD ON ACCURATE to how they were on the album. He does that flawlessly here.

  • @houseshoesbto he left in the middle of the Reign In Blood tour.

  • @LukeChidgey who dave tony played the entire tour with them until 1987 cause lombardo came back to record south of heaven

  • @houseshoesbto Look at 3:05. If that isn't Lombardo's face then I must've been born blind.

  • @houseshoesbto You sir are a comedian. TJ was a fine drummer, but Lombardo was a pioneer.

  • @houseshoesbto ... Also, dumbass...Dave Lombardo didn't leave the band over money. It was because of his wife/girlfriend. You don't know shit about Slayer so quit talking about them.

  • @kwolf68 dude they weren't making money his wife then convinced him to join back in the band and he did then he left in 1991-ish and they kept tour with paul bostaph his first show was the 1992 monsters of rock look it up shit head his wife got him back into slayer in late 1987-1988 to record south of heaven

  • @houseshoesbto No doubt, that is Dave Lombardo. I was at the show, you can also clearly see him when he pauses. Sorry, Tony Scagilone couldn't compare. Dave wrote the book, first edition! From the beats on hell Awaits, to Rain in Blood and on. He even kicked ass with Testament and Grip Inc.

  • @wreckingcrew2 he wasn't good with testament he played on one album paul bostaph is better and gripp inc sucked almost as much dick as fantomas did so i really don't care he plays double bass fast i'll just go listen to paul bostaph or danny carey or tim alexander metal drummers that are rythmic and talented not sloppy as shit and if dave is so good at double bass why can't he play paul's slayer songs as good as paul can paul played daves tunes pretty damn well besides angel of death

  • @houseshoesbto that is dave fuckin lombardo. this is from dec of 86, dave left in jan of 87. plus look at 3:08 you can see clearly its dave.

  • @slayerhead22 i will give that idk exactly when dave left all i know it was during the reign in blood tour

  • @houseshoesbto

It's Dave on the video. You can see his face when the cam is closing on Tom's face. Dave started the tour with slayer after the reign studio recording. And then left during the tour and not for financial reasons but because the members didn't let him take his wife to the tour. And then later before the european tour he rejoined. He missed only a few shows, but on this one it's him.

  • @buziamcsi i understand now i just didn't get how the dude can play so shitty even more shitty than usual on their live record so i didn't think he could pull it off a couple years early before they recorded the album but yes i do see a pretty similar face at one point so i too think its probally dave

  • @houseshoesbto dumbass

  • @6266Slayer woah you relay go me there why don't you get off this back and back to listening to nickelback you faggot

  • @houseshoesbto Dude this is dave u dumb fuck. And on Decade of Aggression his double kicks were off because the promoter or manager at the time, i cant really remember who. Wanted to see Dave more behind the drum kit so they raised his sit, so the crowd could see him more. That is why his double kicks were off....

  • @792065006 okay no real excuse maybe they should over said fuck that like they do to literaly everything else. honestly this is the hugest waste of time trying to talk to a nimble minded person i really dont care i don't watch slayer footage and never heard clean double bass from dave like this in the early days and his drumset was total ass a year previous, so you can't hear any double bass so idk if he was good at it live so i took to the live cd which is made himself sound even more shitty

  • @houseshoesbto Shut up. Dave Lombardo plays double bass EXCELLENT. You must have never been to a live Slayer show. Go ahead and type in Silent Scream live in 2011 and Angel of Death. And Dave is clean as all hell lol

  • @Megadethfan889999 idk why dude maybe hes gotten better but the remarks were about back in the 1980's and early 1990s when he played drums in slayer, he couldn't play double bass amazing all the time and honestly thats all he does good and thats makes you look like a stooge compaired to the great, the better drummers, not even like buddy rich. like danny carey, mike portnoy, jason bittner etc, the best all around drummers of today

  • @houseshoesbto Yo bro all Dave does isn't double bass. Listen to a song like Ghost of War, Seasons In the Abyss, Dead Skin Mask, Born of Fire, Behind the Crooked Cross, Live Undead, Manadtory Suicide ect. He does do double bass patterns but he also does amazing fills and is great live. Double bass isn't all he does. Another example of this is if you look at him at guitar centers drum off. You can see him playing with about two other drummers just freestyling.

  • @Megadethfan889999 don't talk drums to me its the same 16th triplet note feel for most of his fills, they're extremely choppy and sloppy but thats okay cause kerry king, tom, and jeff also play sloppy so they feed off of each others sloppiness.behind the crooked cross is good, same with manidatory suicide, seasons, and dead skin mask but he plays really similar fills in most other slayer songs, doesn't switches the fills up they're the same patterns but played choppy thats why paul B was better

  • @houseshoesbto Not true at all haha I will stop responding everyone else stop responding to this troll as well. He clearly doesn't know what he's talking about all.

  • @Megadethfan889999 good i don't want any responding to my fucking remarks that quite true dude keep jerking it to thrash metal like a fucking 12 year old and don't listen to anyother form of good music thats cool, just go play the same fucking thrash drum beat and same sloppy fill cause what it seems you like to do. 75% of thrash bands old and new suck dick either way slayer has two amazing albums and reign in blood is overrated i'll go listen to seasons again every fucking song + masterpiece

  • @houseshoesbto Dave isn't sloppy, but it sounds that way due to the micing technique on the albums. If you listen to more recent live shows where they mic the bass drum to be more clear, it's apparent that Dave's kicks are spot on.

  • WTF smokescreen. The stamina of an athlete and the precision of a fighter pilot someone said about slayer on the radio at Donnington once. and i agree. on a dance floor with a bunch of like minded drunks in a big circle then the solo starts and CRUNCH! yes i know now that teeth don't grow back, teeth are not important.

This music make EVERYTHING better.....maybe not a funeral...but everything else. ok so not childbirth either...

  • fuck ... someone die in that concert?? really crazt shit...

  • I never knew who the Hell shot this videos back then....Metallica, Megadeth, Kreator, Destruction, Anthrax etc etc..have footages like this one (i mean the angle) back in the mid 80's...my question is: did someone from the crowd recorded these footages or were the band's crew maybe? is such a fucking mistery!!!!! hahaha

  • haha security guard tosses a fan to the side at 3:58

  • @thrashupyourazz

I have heard all kinds of stories like that from back then we they play. Wonder if the crowd is still as hard as they were back then?

  • Why did Araya stop playing with his fingers?

  • @PaltryPete I heard Tom say in a interview that he plays with a pick b cuz it's easier to headbang while playing & he's able to play faster so that he can keep up with the guitarists

  • @TheMarcopolo74

    Cool, thanks for answering :)
