  • ik ken jou van de harmonie Euterpe uit Venray

  • Wil ik wel hebben trouwens.....

  • smoke! ... where's the smoke?

    nice disco ball

  • i just don't understand how these vintage lights are really well built while i've seen similar ones made today which have really crappy quality control. These things look like they could last years upon years.

  • make one of this in led amrerican dj,please

  • nice

  • oO!

  • WANT

  • holy shit nice, how much did it cost?

  • When these things hitted the market, in the 80's, they costed about 4000 gulden (dutch valuta in those days), that would have been something like 2500 dollar.

But remember that the price of light effects in those days were much higher.

Nowadays they're only occasionaly for sale as a used product coming out of closed clubs, and most times switch owners for somewere between 250 an 450 Euro (in the Netherlands and Germany)

  • ey men hij is vet gruwlijk! .

mis kan je naar mijn lamp kijken zeg zeg wat je der van vint?XD

  • Thats a great light! An 'ardkore rave group on Wonka Beats Records named themselves after this light.

  • where do you get them now cause they are amazing

  • The origional ones are no longer for sale.

    Try e-bay (or something simular.)

It seems that there are still simular looking machines on the market, but (as far as I've seen) the effect is a little les overwelming.

  • Yes, I have one of those. Its a Chauvet Cosmos 2.0 It has two balls (instead of 4) which use 64514 300w bulbs. The focus is very poor, tons of light leakage, and they get too hot to leave on for an extended period of time.

I really wish there was a company making high quality versions of these vintage lights with DMX control. A tri-axel UFO (astrodisco3) would really hit the spot!

  • I have an UFO aswell (origional CLay Paky astrodisco 3), and with a DMX-pack, it's easy to controll it.

A company in the USA (Meteor) still produses the ufo-3, but it's realy expensive. Finding an old one and restore it is much cheaper (and I prefer the old ones)

  • I know. I almost bought one last fall. It sells for 1,200.00 USD. It would be impossible to use properly in my set up at the moment but if that changes I'm going to purchase it. Still for that price, its very expensive for a non-DMX light. I would much rather see a smaller and lighter DMX version surface.

  • this was a good effect in it's day. I own 3 of these jewels. Not as good as the Clay Paky Astrodisco though
