I've been watching Grand Prix (1966) and Lemans (1971) and it's amazing to see the difference between the cars in just 5 years...what an evolution of performance and styling
Migawd, Jarre's romanticized music for the French GP sequence has to be one of the most achingly beautiful, melancholy and wonderful soundtrack sequences ever recorded. I often watch this segment just for the music, it's so romantic, yet sad, and almost foretells what will happen later in the story. Thank you, Maurice!
I love the music video part showing the race cars and the scenery around. Grand Prix is an awesome move and love the movie. Wish Formula 1 will make a new movie, but i know it won't be as great as Grand Prix
you might want tll your head out of your ass before making such an asinine comment asshole

@oneirishpoet ... These are two different classes of cars...you might want to do a bit more research.

I watched this over 30 years ago for the first time and the images burned themselves into my brain. I think it is one of the best movies ever made.

Maurice Jarre's wonderful score, and the
old Clermont-Ferrand circuit. Magic. Of course such circuits as that are now long-gone. Too dangerous? Yes, of course.
But at least we can still glimpse how things were, thanks to this great photography! (and Rocco!)
