  • Cont... It is still rigid and tensile when it glows red. The whole time it is hot it still makes electricity. When it cools down it looks as if you never heated it up in the first place.

  • That solar cell is not a cell it is a module.

Also it is encapsulated in plastic. Your test is flawed. Silicon melts at 1414 celsius. You can heat up silicon cell with a propane torch and it will glow red hot

  • @TheSolarmike A photovoltaic module or photovoltaic panel is a packaged interconnected assembly of photovoltaic cells, also known as "solar cells".. I will add the s just for you. Why would I want to go even close to 1414 when 100C the plastic melts? For this module, that is around the point it causes damage.

  • YT is so far screwed up I could not even watch this. I wish these YT admin morons would stop messing with stuff they do not understand.

  • I just had to reinstall windows (error loading operating system out of the blue) no virus - scanner fully up to date, perhaps a windows update that I was unaware of during shut-down but I doubt it.. It did happen before though. When I reinstalled it this time, It had an error, I wasn't sure if I would be able to reinstall and get the net back. so I had to reinstall again, and now I got to get everything back again =/... I don't know what caused it but I have everything recorded.

  • I did finally see the video in its entirety.
