  • i dont wanna sound dumb here but is that a supercharger or a pro charger?

superchargers usually sit ontop on the engine and pro chargers sit infront like turbo's do normally i think, or am i wrong here?

  • just ge the 5.0 your going to end paying the same money for it!!

  • @michoacan684 but this looks waaaay better and has better mileage... and also probably performs better.

  • Those head lights are mean!

  • total end cost of all the mods?

  • Why would u mix and match random mustang ecterior parts like saleen snd boss??

  • @Blueblaha2010

    Because it looks badass?

  • finallly on stage 4 they fully open the exhaust

  • its a badass little 6,when I heard FORD FINALLY stepped up their game I was so happy,Mustang GT 415HP I think n then the Mustand V6 310HP I think,I know I'm of by a few HP give or take most likly take, lol.Anyway, that mustang of yours would run alot better 1/4mile times if it was launch right with better reaction times of the line, its spining way to much so the tires sould be heated more as well, but mid 12's is preaty sick I think either way,but it will run lower if launched right

  • you should do some interior and outside exhaust video with the borla axle backs and bbk headers and x pipe installed.

  • @ericlebronjamez In order for it to fit, you have to use the GT front bumper and GT upper grill surround. Essentially, the front end becomes the same as any GT. Hope this helps! -Chris Rose

  • I have 2011 Ford Mustang V6, I wish I could do this sort of stuff to mine.

  • May I ask what's the max. speed it can reach after stage 4? In mph or kmph, whatever....

  • I appreciate the videos but the hood really detracts from that car. I might be able to get past the 1/4 window scoops but damn. Its a v-6 with all that get up on it.... Subtle would have been way better than flashy half the retards on the road are going to think its some kind of KR. Clean muscular and understated with some v-6 badges would have been an improvement. Then you would surprise the hell out of them. The way it is now it better be the fastest thing on the road.

  • shoulda put twin turbo's on there instead of wasting money with plastic stick ons would be running low 10's on low boost.

  • lol just added a usper charger

  • i wanna kno more about cars like youuuu =PP

  • Housewives drive this car.

  • Where do you get the GT bumper???

  • Out Of All The Add On's To This Car What Will Void The Warranty? And Where Did You Purchase All These Parts From? Thanks!

  • How do you replace the front bumper with a stock GT unit? How much would this cost?

  • or for less then $1000 just get nos

  • @yellowmusicfreak The modifications that we made, other than 3.73 gears, all IMPROVE gas mileage. 3.73's hurt the mileage a little bit, but at the end of the day, we're getting within 2 MPG (usually lower) than stock. That amount is absolutely not noticeable, we've driven the car on numerous trips to the track. That's the nice thing about the centrifugal blower, it's not going to really be a gas hog unless you're always in the boost range.

  • @americanmusclevideos Hey guys, this project has been awesome since phase one, and it just keeps getting better. Please check out my video of my 2011 mustang v6. Its on my channel. What additional mods would you suggest? Let me know what you think of my car if possible?

  • @americanmusclevideos did you find that the aluminum drive shaft was able to reduce vibrations at higher speeds? thanks for your time

  • @americanmusclevideos i dont see how 80lb injctrs only hurt mpg's buy 2?

  • @yellowmusicfreak Yo, The goal of there project cars are to give it power while making it stand out from the crowd, Did you see the other project cars? They all have exterior work done to them. It's not just about the power, Some people want to change the look of it too and these project cars help them. I know there 2005 V6 Project car is helping ME mod my 2007 V6.

  • @yellowmusicfreak and here you are again, nothing better to do than trolling on others people vids..get a life dude

  • @roush20115xr

Another auto hater huh? I'd rather have a transmission "for girls" that works than one that doesn't work and spend out the ass constantly getting fixed just to prove I'm a "real man". Don't get me wrong, I like a good manual as much as the next guy but there is nothing wrong with an auto or DCT for that matter.

  • honestly i thinks the extra scoops, hood, and wheels should be scrapped. throw a set of black w/ chrome lipped torq-thrust mags and it would be killa.

  • more power same mpgs...............cool

  • I want to hear the sound of this beast at WOT!

  • Stage 6- get rid of the V6 and get a 5.0 and have more power stock than you did with all these mods. sighh

  • How much cost this upgrade because I love the v6 model and I think is better that the v8

  • @ARNALDOE123 Everything other than the supercharger were pretty much bolt-on mods that were really affordable. Even the gears are affordable, the labor is really the most expensive part, there. We've got a good amount invested in the car (easily $10k), but the base price of the car vs. a GT is easily $10k less, the insurance is less for most people, the gas mileage is much better and - now it's an 11-second car! (video coming soon)

  • @americanmusclevideos 10k??? I can put that in my car and run 10 flat...

  • @S2000F20CVTEC ur name implies u drive a s2k?depending on year stock s2k on make around 155hp-190hp tops at the wheels, for $10k theres no way to get a 10 flat car,ur dreaming,u would need at least 500hp or so just to hit 10s alone,n most turbo kits for s2k is $6-$7k alone!!!N that only gives u what 350hp or so?n yes s2k's r light but not that light, then u need to add in price for motor build, piston kit, tune, suspension, drag tires,no freaking way u'll have a 10 flat car, sorry not happening.

  • I think Stage 5 Should really just show the MPG's & 0-60. Really curious to see if all those mods and extra body parts help with speed and milage or just kill it. Also im new at this but does the supercharger replace your cold air intake or am i just blind for not being able to see it??

  • @000SaviourXXX Ford toiled night and day for years to get 30mpg and 300+hp in the same engine, and it's a miraculous feat. I can practically guarantee the mods these guys added dropped it to at least 25mpg...Super high performance, sure, good fuel economy, highly doubtful.

  • @yellowmusicfreak Actually, if you read around, the CAI/Tune, exhaust mods actually help mileage. The only thing we did that really affected the mileage was the 3.73 gears, which brought it down about 2mpg. Even the Procharger doesn't become an economy issue unless you're under boost. All-in-all, when we said "never sacrificed fuel economy", we meant that it's within a mpg or two of stock, and not noticeable at all. We drive it all over the eastern seaboard, still great on gas!

  • for all the money you spent I'd rather just get the GT

  • Imagine how much faster it would be without all the "cosmetics"(unnecessary added weight, expense and to be honest I think it's ugly ) , some weight reduction and a set of slicks on light weight wheels... The numbers are impressive so far... I think she also needs lower compression pistons and more boost :D say hello to 11s...

  • If you kept the body looking stock (or at least more subtle mods) this would be a real sleeper and a great daily driver. I wouldn't get an auto though!

  • these new v6's are simply great, but after all theve done n wut their going to do, just out of curiousity i would love to know how much its affected the fuel economy

  • DAMN, even at 12 sec 1/4 mile , the other classic car was GONE way before the 2011 stang , i wonder wat was the time of the other car and wat car was it any way ?

  • so you took the turbos off and put a supercharger on it?

  • Lol, yeah the 5.0 is WAAAAY better than the 3.7......(-.-') never mind the fact that 6psi has this thing putting out 400rwhp. W84it, it's the base engine for a pickup truck. TTc that engine and there's a Japanese car co that would be PISSED.

  • That Mustang looks amazing! If you don't think it looks good then I'm surprised you can read my comment, because you are fucking dumb!

  • thats insane for a v6. race that against someone and they won't expect it. i wouldnt for sure i drive a mustang gt and that can kick my ass haha i have the 2008 im only running about 320 horsepower.

  • Stop hatingoin v6s. They're are cheaper, less insurance, lighter and much better fuel economy. And proven here a few extra mods can make it faster than a gt.

  • That's badass.

  • does the salem grill fits out of the box? american muscle list it for gts...

  • how did u change the lights from the stock to the HID headlamps

  • and there goes the whole point of buying a v6 mustang...terrible MPG and all goes out the window with all that extra strain on the engine and tranny with f/i

  • @Roush20115XR Its the same tranny as the GT has, so I doubt its hurting. And 6psi is hardly a strenuous amount of boost for any modern engine. Also the thing that makes this car have such good gas mileage is the cam timing while its cruising, so I'm sure it still gets good mpg assuming they drive it conservatively. Variable Valve Timing is a beautiful thing.

  • @Sja620

sorry, but out 2011 tranny suck...replaced mine already! it can't hold the power level you'd think it'd be able too, Roush did its best to make my power level safe, but the tranny just gave out on me! and the mpg goes down...variable timing or not! any performance mod and a tune for performance drops the MPG

  • @Roush20115XR Thats the manual transmission. The car in this vid has the auto. I've heard about the problems with MT-82, but I've not once heard a single bad thing about the automatic. There's a handful of people running high numbers on these autos with 0 problems as far as I've been able to find.

Also that's not true, some tunes and mods can/have actually increased mpg...depends how you drive it, and final gear more than anything.

  • @Sja620 true, auto haven't had much problem, but auto's are for girls!

and i said tune for performance....if you want performance you sacrifice MPG, i doubt that will ever change unless we go electric

  • @Roush20115XR Or people who drive a lot for their daily commute. Or for people who like consecutive drag times. A lot of drag cars use automatics for a reason lol.

And I'm talking about performance tunes. The bama performance tunes you can order from this company increase power and mpg. If you keep this exact car out of boost and drive conservatively I guarantee you will see similar avg mpg as stock. And it'll still be better than the 5.0.

  • @Sja620

    no...just girls!

and canned tunes are shit, almost half the time the a/f is way off...and if your going to put money into a car, why not have it properly tuned? and this car will be better than a stock 5.0, but i've seen personally at my drag strip (houston, Texas) a procharged mustang get whooped on my a bolt on 5.0, but of course, i also saw it put some STOCK 5.0 to shame as well

  • That hood needs to go. I don't know why, but it doesn't look right on that V6. Maybe it's the Shelby stripes that offset it? Anyway, I can't wait for stage 5! More boost and stickier tires maybe?!

  • I bet a new 3.7 v6 could easily make over 500 horsepower on motor with fully p/p heads and intake with better cams to match. These new 24 valve DOHC v6's are very potent with their better flowing heads as opposed to most older 12 valve OHV v6's. Try adding 6 psi to a fully built version of this v6 and it would make this run seem like slow motion! But this is still very impressive!

  • Ok, port "n" polished intake and heads FTW, Oh and maybe a 4.1~4.3 stroker:)

    just a thought....

  • Well what this video shows is what you could do over time with a V6. If you can afford it all at once then sure, get a GT. But if a V6 payment is all you can do then get that and mod as you can.

  • great job guys keep up the good work.

  • For the people complaining about not getting a V8 in the first place well there are many reasons. Price up front, insurance, gas mileage, the 2011 v6 just as fast as a 2010 GT. I have a V8 but people buy what they want and once they manage enough money they start adding parts little by little, just like everyone does to their V8s

  • man i love thos headlights! they are just waaay to sexy

  • What did it run 0-60 after the procharger?

  • we should try a twin Turbo setup like the ecoboost truck motor next! keep up the good work!! :-)

  • What kind of costs are you looking at with all of these upgrades

  • outstanding transformation! Is there a front brake upgrade coming for stage 5?

  • Awesome build, good job!

  • I'm rethinking my descision of getting a gt now...hmm

  • @vsparxv All your worries will evaporate if you put another thousand or so into your GT. Promise.

  • @

    bolt on 5.0 is faster....

  • @MrJnagy75 lol they were off by 16 :P

  • @davidteahen i think you should learn how to count money. lmao. tens of thousands of dollars in parts were not spent here.

  • So you essentially spent tens of thousands of dollars in parts and time to create a .......... Mustang GT. Dumb-ass useless project.

  • Awesome build!

  • why not get a gt in the first place??

  • On those projector headlight, what is the bulb size, because I have HID on mine and of course it reg. housing. I wanna make sure that i can keep the current HID bulb or get new ones.

  • Right now, this is the fastest 2011 V6 Mustang, has about a tenth on the ProCharger development car as of now. Of course this is only due to heat and traction limitations at the last track outing for that car, cooler weather and better track conditions should see him in the 12.0's or better.

  • @Ltngdrvr The run above was over 95 degrees at the track on the day we went. IAT's were 140 before the run and 180 at the end of the run. Pulled a ton of timing, I think we would have been 12.2-12.3 otherwise at 6PSI. Stage 5 will be quite a bit different, though - coming soon!

  • @americanmusclevideos YESSS!!!!!!!!

  • Definitely needs more boost and REALLY needs a high stall converter.

So AM, when will we see what goes for the magazine article???

  • Now do a 2011 5.0

  • @Blackcrisis2004 u literally pulled all of that out ur ass, the shelbys on radials run 11s stock, and 12 flats on streets, 5.0 gts run mid 12s and this car on a cold engine would probably keep up with a shelby on streets

  • @ADD8oi no man, i didn't pull it from my ass. i didn't mention anything about putting radials on the gt500, nor the 5.0. the 2011 supersnake does 12 flat on street tires, the regular 2011 gt500 does a 12.4 off the floor, and the 5.0 with the performance package with 3.73s does about 12.6s, the base model with the 3.31 gears does a 13 to the 1/4. but yes i agree throw on some radials the snake will hit 11s with ease. the supersnake will hit 10s.

  • Stage 5 please!!!!

  • Not counting the body parts and rims this come up to about $4000 in performance parts. $23,000(base 3.7L mustang)+ $4000= $27,000 can get 13.6 ets out of the automatic. Add the procharger kit for $5180+$27,000= $32,180 for total car getting 12.4 ets which is as fast as a 2011 gt500, better mpg than the gt model, lower payments and lower insurance. Or the same $32,180 which will get u leather interior not the performance package running 13.0 ets lower mpg, higher payments, and insur. Your Choice!

  • can u guys make more videos of this car? i really like it! and thos headlights look soooo much better than the stock ones, i am sooo buying them

  • so what was the miles per gallon?

  • I agree, please do a 99-04 gt. It would make buying products from you guys much easier.

  • @MrJnagy75 they are talking about to the wheels, not crank

  • @TheDarkChi I know they are talking about to the wheels.A stock 2011 puts about 260-270 to the wheels.Soooo 400 is not an increase of 156.

  • @MrJnagy75 You're talking about the peak numbers and not the numbers throughout the curve. We gained much more in the curve than we did at the peaks of hp and torque.

  • @MrJnagy75 ur right about 400rwhp form 260rwhp isn't an increase of 156hp, its a 140hp gain from what they got in stock form, but thats not what their talking about. their talking about how the car performs gunning it throughout the rpm range before the power taps in the higher rpm ranges. so say your car has 260rwhp, but at a certain rpm range its managing to pull at 144hp. bump the power to 400rwhp, now at that rpm range ur pulling at 300hp. 144hp to 300hp = gain of 156hp in that rpm curve.

  • PLEASE do a 99-04 GT

I have a '99 GT and would love to see the stages you would do.

Especially now that I have some money. ;)

  • 400 rwhp isn't an increase of 156 and 340 torque isn't an increase of 141 over a bone stock 2011 v6.Those numbers seem to be low.

  • @MrJnagy75 it was the increase throughout the rpm curve, which are different from peak hp gain. Peak hp from stock gain are 140hp/99torque. These numbers are all wrhp and wrtq gains, so with 400rwhp/340rwtq this car probably have somewhere between 450hp~480hp/390tq~425tq at the crank.

  • lol, just buy a v8...

  • This is cool, but it should have been done to the V8. With all these mods it would be pointless to buy the V6 as the platform, especially when it ends up costing more than the V8.

  • I love these episodes! Do another car please!

  • nice ride !!!!!!!!

  • soon....i will be there with mine

  • Thats all folks!

  • sorry, it looks nasty now!

  • @KingQTR do u mean that in a good way?

  • @TheDylan222222 actually when I wrote the comment I didn't finish watching the whole video. I think now you can consider it in a good way, but the hood and sticky body parts are nasty!

  • @KingQTR i dont like the fake scoops on it but i think the hood looks good but whats great is the supercharger

  • u guys did a awesome job with this stang, i mean its awesome!! but i have a question, why do you guys always get automatic trans? manual is faster and will last longer then a auto

  • Stage 5: Engine work and more boost :D

  • are you guys going to so this kinda stuff to another car?

  • very nice. impressed with the v6
