If James Brown or Al Green would have covered it then it would have been world wide known like IT'S A MAN'S MAN'S WORLDorLOVE&HAPPINESS.
Someone should send this song to Tarrentino as a part of a soundtrack suggestion for 1 of his futuremovies(which i do not like too much I have to admid btw :-)in order to give Bobby Parker the fame he certainly deserves.
This version is as good as the original from the 50's.Would have been great to see Parker perform with Paul HUCKLEBUCK Williams in 1958
Back in the early 1990s it was tapes like this of live Washington D.C. area gigs by Bobby that led to his signing to Black Top Records, resulting in two CDs of new recordings. Alas Bobby saw very little if any income from the label before it folded. The CDs did get Bobby out on the road to tour across North America and Europe, but in the end the man needs to realize some green stuff from his art -- right?
Some of the best screams you'll ever hear come from the soul of this man.
