  • es kann aber auch sein DER RING DES NIBELUNGEN, wenn man einen gewissen Nibelungen meint.

  • pretty good work there, are all these loops by the way?

  • Not bad! ))

  • I hate it when they mix up the articles...

  • Great work! That's great music. But "Der Ring der Nibelungen" is correct, because it is plural. ;-)

    Greetings from Germany. :-)

  • Very nice. It sounds immediate music worthy. Would you recommend Magix Music Maker 15, cuz I'm considering buying it? Also, are the soundpool packs free or do you buy them too?

  • very very nice

  • So you did this with an average program like Magix Music Maker? :O

    That's really good!

  • Yep, but I work a lot with loop libraries, so I don't compose these songs completely from scratch. ;) Music Maker is basically a loop sequencer (like Sony Acid Pro), but it also has a support for VST instruments.

  • awesome mate

  • You've put together another wonderful piece here. Very majestic, and haunting at times. I love it. :)

  • Thanks for the kind words! :)

  • Absolutely dramatical sound, awesome! You placed and produced the loops very well. A very nice piece of music:)

  • @bigscorpio5 Thanks! Vielen Dank! :)

  • Für mich bist Du ein Meister der Filmmusik...grandios...die Spannungskurven und die gesamte Quallität.

    absolute Klasse

    5*4U

  • @faxinger Super Danke! :)

  • you have to know: i like your songs, and so ich remark parts in songs which I already heard once... ;-)

  • thx for fast answering.

ich meant the old samples from previous songs

some sounds like the ones in you imperium aeternum or your special ops

    thats why i thought

  • @MadKong04 You're absolutely right, I used a couple of samples from those songs. ;)

  • hey, its again a great song, nearly it coud be your best ;)

you took a lot of "old" material right?

why did you choose a german title? i like it to see my language at good songs :D

  • Thanks for the comment! :)

Well, I have studied some German and it's a cool language. So, that's why the title... ;)

You mean old material as old sound samples? Actually, most of the samples are brand new for me, so I haven't used them in my previous songs. ;)

  • Du är så förbannat duktig och jag gillar din musik så mycket. Tack för att du delar med dig av allt vackert :-)

    Violinerosie

  • Tack så mycket! Du är så vänlig! :)

  • well I don't run any big projects at the moment but I hope I will soon have time to make some new songs... :)

  • Just to add some details that came to my mind...

in general "die Nibelungensage" is a very old german myth that includes many mythical creatures and tells the story of a germanic hero, Siegfried. It's a nice piece so I can recommend it to be read by every one that is interested. "Der Ring des Nibelungen" can be seen as a tribute to the legend by Wagner.

If someone wants to talk some more about myths pm me plx :)

  • Hey Eximius84 we had to wait long for your new song but it was totally worth it, this song just sounds epic! 5*!

By the way, in it's origin "Der Ring des Nibelungen" is a musicdrama by Richard Wagner, a german componist but that's just what I had in thought when I looked at the titel ^^.

  • Hey, thanks man! :) I'm familiar with the Ring cycle it's like the most epic tale ever. :D Actually, I just wanted to make a song with a German title and this was the first thing that came to my mind. :D How about you mate? Are you working on any songs ?

  • WoW, extremely awesome and love the chorus voices near the ending.

  • It has definitely been worth the wait. A fantastic job. 5 *. Greetings

  • Thanks for the comment! I appreciate it. :)

  • That voice is very very convincing. Excellent job once again.

  • Thanks man!

  • Bravo! ***** star

  • Fantastic! I like this style of music a lot and this track, you´ve produced, is awesome. Great work! 5*

  • I don't get it.

Can you actually compose wit that program, or is it just something you put in (like loops)?

  • magix music maker is mostly just looping

you can put in midi notes , too, but noone uses it because magix sucks :D

  • Hey, Music Maker is a great software for beginners. ;)

  • Excuse me, but I do nothing BUT making Songs in magix with only Midi Notes and Vsti, no Loops. If you think, it doesn't work that Way, feel free to listen to my Songs, Magix isn't that bad.

  • I think Music Maker is a pretty versatile software. It has its own limitations, but you can do a lot of different things with it. I think it's a pretty good choice for your first music software. Then you can move to more advanced software like Cubase etc...

  • I agree... Magix is definitely not the best music-program, but compared with cubase its very cheap to buy. I wish, I had cubase, but... *sigh*^^

  • ok if this was done without looping/sampling

    much respect!

  • Well, this song has things that are composed by me, but I also work a lot with loop libraries. At the moment I don't have enough knowledge or proper software to compose this kind of stuff completely from scratch. ;)

  • Yes, you can compose with Music Maker. It has a VSTi support, but it's still basically a loop sequencer (like Sony Acid Pro).

  • Btw, Eximius: Is that voice a VSTI? If yes, where did you get this? Its awesome.

  • Nope, it's just a wav sample from Magix Soundpool Collection 16. It has a pretty good selection of female vocal samples. I usually use a lot of audio material from Magix Soundpools. ;)

  • Thanks for the Explaination^^ If that was a VSTI, it would be incredible.^^

  • Hey, google this software: Quantum Leap Voices Of Passion ;)

  • @Eximius84 Wow man, you saved my soul with that link :D

...if I had only a little more cash :D

  • Yes, finally!! I've been waiting so long for this! xD

The Title isn't 100% correct, it should be "der ring DER nibelungen" ;)

To johnny102marvin; I don't think, you can compare this song with the score of gladiator. Its not better, and not worse, Its just a totally different score.

Ah yeah, 5 stars. Do I have to tell you? :P

  • But the original title of the opera is Der Ring DES Nibelungen and I was referring to that. Maybe it's somekind of dialect thing or something. ;)

I agree, this song has a lot of similarities with modern trailer music, so it's pretty difficult to compare this to a pure orchestral soundtrack like Gladiator, for example.

  • Okay, I just found this from Wikipedia:

The Nibelung of the title is the dwarf, Alberich. Der Ring des Nibelungen could be translated as: Alberich's Ring. The German title is often mistakenly written with the article der repeated, Der Ring der Nibelungen, which means The Ring of the Nibelungs (plural, understood as the race to which Alberich and Mime belong).

    That explains it. :D

  • OK :D

A bit confusing, but oh well... german is a pain in the ass anyway xD

  • This is a great sound track for a epic type of movie. This would sound great for a movie like "The Gladiator". I think your composition sounds better than the original music they used on The Gladiator.

  • Thanks for the kind words, John. :)
