Fix Fallout 3 Windows 7 Freeze

Fallout 3 for me is type of game u can lose urself in. freezing the way it does ruins the whole experience. the game's developers should be fixing that shit since we fuckin payin for it.

I got the GOTY edition on steam and i cant find the fallout default or the fallout ini, and in the FALLOUT one, there is only threaded blood and threaded morph

@368erStuhl search on youtube for "fallout 3 d3d9.dll n click the first or second result, this temporarily fixed the problem for me, but still it crashes after an hour or two of gameplay esp. when you get to new places so if you are very desperate as myself go ahead do what this link tells you n make sure you quicksave very often.

@EgyDemigod if your using intel integrated graphics then you will need a specific D3D9 file to put into the game files. it tricks fallout into thinking you have an Nvidia eries card. it can be found on the video on my channel

@EgyDemigod I don't know if this helps, but there are two .ini files. One is in the main game folder, called fallout_default.ini, and the other is in My Documents. I made changes to BOTH these files.

i dont have a .ini folder? what would it be to me....would that be my reason for crashing in the first place? the game open, but as soon as i click play, it opens full screen and says "fallout 3 has stopped working, windows is searching for a solution to the problem"

@sparky9171 check your graphic settings (click the options button on the pop-up window after you run the fallout launcher, it has more detailed info than the display option in-game)

Put your typer at the end of the buse like, and press "Enter"

This will bring you down a line, and an empty line will apear, and that's all you do.

@TheShockWave515 thats what it did to me, but i found a way around it. Click save as, the title it the same as before, but this time save it to ur desktop. Then drag from the desktop version into the fallout file, it will ask if you want to replace the origenal one, and once u do, you are done. I did all this but the game still freezes, but I hope it works for you.
