story-wise it was kind of blah. been done before and filled with cliched ideas but also some very nice, new ones too like the language, the "Bond", sacred tree, and the creatures.

Visually it was creative, visually deep, and immersive and complmented the new hybrid technology.

Still can't replace good costumes and prosthetics/puppetry in live movies or compare to really good cg or drawn animation in their own media, but its as close as you can get to make cg look natural and real in 3d.

I went in to see the film expecting to enjoy it but came out feeling really let down and thought how overhyped it was. The visuals are gorgeous but the story just falls flat. Like Cameron spent 17 years perfecting the images, but only spent 17 minutes writing it.

I think that our "container" is actually just as important as the soul, if not more (in some ways) because that's the first thing people see.

I think of it as, our bodies should embody/represent our inner selves as a way of showing respect to what we stand for, whatever that is. If we don't care for our bodies in a way that agrees with who we are, we harm ourselves.

now I wont go into life cycles, but that's a really interesting way of looking at it. ;)

you know i am a fanatic for avatar because ive seen it 3 times in theaters then i got the movie bootlegged and when the na'vi speaked in their language the subtitles popped up in a diffrent language and i could actually remember what they said at those parts

the movie was possibly the best movie i have ever seen in my entire life and i just read in an article that he plans to make 2 more sequels because audiance feedback was good enough and he apparently he left the story arc big enough to fit in 2 sequels. This video was lovely ~ it worked really well with the movie and you edited it wonderfully. 5 stars!
